Mage Slayer Companion. How does it work?

I just bought this companion for the "Double drop rate of Portal Stones" but I am not getting any more from the Ornately Carved Boxes. Is there another way for these to drop such as enemies or heroics? I haven't been able to get any from any where else. Is this companion broke? If so 2500 zen is a lot for something that is not working.

    You can get them in other places, e.g. I've got one a couple of times from ship HEs.
    I assume that other rewards (all that could drop evidence of evil - such as random quest you can pickup around the district) can also have them.

    Btw, portal stones are overrated as you can frequently queue with a team of other 4 people and chain 5 runs with each of you using just one stone. Sorry about your ZEN loss, sometimes these quality-of-life ZEN store items are valuable (hammerstone pick, inscribed garments, HAMSTER Seeker's Wands) sometimes they are not (most of the module-specific companions imho).

    The 10% damage increase for all mod 11 content isn't too shabby IMO.
