Same Old Issues, New PvP Season

In short.

The Longer Version:

So the new season begins, and we are all hoping half the bugs and such are fixed, and one of the biggest ones was (for like 1 day) we weren't changing ranks! We managed to keep our own ranks and could random que! OMG!! How awesome! It rebroke itself already and now we switch ranks again.

Prizes still are worthless, more than that, they are worse than worthless. First there is no brackets, so brand new pvpers get put on pug teams with others and you don't stand a chance in hell when your guy doesn't even have tenacity on. So really, you want to go out of your way to make sure you come with a nice premade. But so you get your top boys and girls together (girls preferably ;)) you go in and you get top on the leader board, and you kicked so much HAMSTER and oh wait, damn before the game was over, server crashed, your rank is lost, and your prize woulda just been a blue HAMSTER item that takes up your inventory space.

So let's break it down, get rid of the HAMSTER items. No more blue's and Greens's. I would like you to add some PvP only specialty (specialty stuff does not mean OH ITS A HAMSTER ITEM WITH TENACITY, let's get our heads out of our rears and brainstorm some here) stuff but even if you don't just stop making me have to search through my already over stuffed backpack to discard an item.

STOP SWAPPING PVP RANKS!!! I mean come on guys, I know its a fair amount of code to search through, but I imagine its something along the lines CharacterRank - Matchends, if win, then - Player1rank = player5rank +/- x. You simply have had to fill in the variables wrong. At some point in the codee its rewriting itself because it wasn't doing this on day one. Perhaps its after so many losses or something. Check that out. And add in an if statement for connection lost. Start a Timer. If it happens once in six hours, then no harm to ones pvp rank, the 2nd time it happens rank is affected negatively, ect... this way we are all ok with a whoopsie server side and so its not overly abusable playerside.

Improve PvP store! I don't want to just spend my seals of triumph on glory packs, I want stuff, I want special visuals to morph to. Something super crazy to work up to. Increase number of seals that can be held and increase how many seals of triumph you can get a day! Don't make it 60 for 1 match, make it 10 per match let me farm PvP and have a PvP life worthy of my time! Better yet, make brackets! Any matches from 1-69 recieve 1 seal of triumph, 70 - 1600-1999 recieve 3 seals of triumph 2000-2499 recieve 6 seals of triumph 2500-2999 recieve 9 seals of triumph 3000-3499 recieve 12 seals of triumph 3500+ recieve 15 seals of triumph!

Give me a 600,000 seals of triumph item that I can bust my HAMSTER working towards thats worth a damn. New Artifact, Special class artifact weapon, whatever. Give me a neck, belt, and artifact pvp purchasable only special set. Perhaps its not good for PvP, perhaps its a PvE set, and I can sell it to those that don't PvP, make an economy between the two worlds.

Allow glory packs to stack up more than 20 on a pile, what kinda HAMSTER is that? Let that stuff hit 999. yes I am saving them for double glory, i mean hell they already aint got much in them anyways, increase their value or let me hold them easier.

How shafted PvP is is jusst crazy. And this particular bug of rank swapping just kills me.

    I definitely agree PvP needs some love. That's a more long-term project, though.

    The addition of Seals of Triumph is a real help (although not beckylunatic's x7 earn rate, sorry!): it will be 10 Seals for 1 coffer point, which means a 60% increase in coffer progress (instead of 10 coffer points per day from the Fight to the Finish quest, it will be 10 + 6, since you get 60 Seals from the same win you got the Fight to the Finish Conqueror's Shards from).

    It's not a complete solution, but it's a step in the right direction. For guilds that are grinding through Conqueror's Shards slowly, a +60% earn rate should be a real help. For guilds that have just given up on Conqueror's Shards, we'll need something more.

    PvP will be fixed when they can figure out an way to make money off of it. Right now there isn’t enough interest so not enough money coming in for them to dedicate resources to fix it.

    Oh but it is profitable. I have personally known people who have spent literal hundreds if not more euros in a very short time to build up several characters into near bis status just for pvp. Purchasing enchantments, campaign completions, lvl 70 boosts tokens, refining stones, mounts, insignias, artifacts.. etc. A certain group of people, however large or small it may be is spending a lot of money in pvp.

    I don't care about the leader board, but I do take a look at it from time to time. It hasn't reset.

    I read it as " a new mod has come & there have still been no PvP improvements". But that's just my interpretation...
