PvP pointless PS4

I've been playing NW for months. I have a level 70 GWF that I recently started entering pvp with. But it's pointless, everyone is so overpowered. I have 5 of 6 toons that can play pvp and I'm lucky if I can get even 1 kill on any of them. Tonight I played and was 0-10. I was being 1 shot by every class. I have 2 Warborn equipped, Negation, Drowned weapon set (rare), rank 8 enchants. Why is there such a huge gap between fairly new level 70 pvp and vets/big money spenders? How is pvp even a fair fight with a newer level 70 player and someone who has all the best gear, legendary and mythic and all rank 12 enchants? It's a huge disadvantage. And almost every player I've seen in pvp has all BIS gear, rank 12 enchants and are stat heavy. I've played pvp in other games and have never felt such a huge disadvantage in game play. This isn't really to rant, but more of why is there such a gap advantage in pvp? I feel like in order to enjoy pvp I, A: spend lots of money and AD to rank up enchants and purchase/trade for better gear or B: don't play at all. I leaning towards B.

If you think that's bad you should see the losers who use rank 12s and weapon enchants in the low brackets. Talk about afraid to lose.

I mean, I'm not a terrible player and I do have some decent gear. Most of my enchants are rank 8 or above. My artifact gear and artifacts are epic and according to most character builds are BIS. I have used a few different pvp builds and still drop in 1-2 hits. I have almost all boons from campaigns as well. I'm not knocking players who've played hard or even paid their way to best in slot gear. I just don't understand this huge gap. Additionally, there is no real incentive to play pvp and if you lose, like I did 0-10 K/D, you get nothing for even trying. I like PvE content but, it lacks in story, on PS4 I've completed almost all campaign content available, daily quest are repetitive and tedious. Thus the reason I started playing PvP.

Well. I have a small guild and a rank 1 SH and I'm not spending money/AD for an overpriced Golden Lion or another mount. I shouldn't have to nor should any other player. There needs to be more balance between a newer level 70 player vs someone who's capped in gear score during PvP. Perhaps narrowing the item level for queue. What I mean is players item lvl 4K or above should only be playing against other players 4K or above, 3500-4K, 3000-3500, 2500-3000.... It's so discouraging to join and hit another player and do no damage and then get hit and die instantly. Also, reward system should be revisited as well as that tedious campaign tree. Yikes!

I suggested the same thing, i hope with the new level for gear score thats coming, they might add item level requirements to enchants and pvp queue.
So 4k can only play vs 4k and level 60+ players cant use trans items

@markeen#2032 best thing you can do is slowly move away from PVP. Its what I did and I have 4 toons in warborn/prestige with decent to bis enchants + all boons.
My main char joins a match perhaps once a week if even that and only if lower IL guildies are asking for help in their pursuit of glory/seals.

You are in a good position, you are just starting. Take what you see there at face value and know - it wont get better. Find your entertainment in PVE, there are some cool people in this game and grouping for stuff can be fun.

Perhaps..some of your problem..is onky wearing 2 piece of pvp gear..well that and your are completely out classed gear wise by pvpers. Fighting someone with near 200k hp, 14k arp and 24k plus power..your already at a disadvantage..but..not having full tenacity, is a bigger disadvantage than anything else.

I pvp with no guild boons 20k power 3k defense 7k lifesteal 90k hp.... some i can kill.. others I can't dent.
