Developers... PLEASE Consider...

Please consider... an socailly inviting system to reward the player who brings other OUTSIDERS in!!
I mean, isn't it well known in ANY industry or business... THE Best way for your BRAND to get well KNOWN, is through the word of mouth of those whom already Know your BRAND?? So why is there is no way through the game, that I can see, for us to share a link and reward the player giving it!! Even if I don't spend real life money for my acct, what if I invite 5 friends in the next week?? And 3 of those friends say "HEY... I like this game, I'm going to buy premium/Zen!!" etc?? How valuable than is my own referral??

And who better to invite than our own friends?? I play LOTS of games online! One or two MMO games. Even one Free, such as TankiOnline! They have a referral bonus system! You can post a link, or have it send them an email... however you get the friend on board, if they go through the link provided, the player who provided the link gets a reward beneficial in the game! Extra currency like CRY for instance. Also, i think they get a Premium acct for 24 hrs...

SO? How could Neverwinter reward it's players for bringing in outsiders?? And growing the Neverwinter community? Many different ways. For every simple invite sent that someone responds to, and sets up account, and passes the Quest crossing the bridge into Neverwinter? The person providing the link, referring the friend, should get a basic amount of currency, coin, etc. Or... Astral Diamonds, as those become valuable once discovered! Maybe both, depending on how many are being invited??

Say your not a very active recruiter, you just invite a friend here and their, on occasion! Maybe you get a small supply of Coin given to you for basic effort. However, say you bring in many, every week. If enough come in consecutively, maybe get Astral Diamonds instead? Small amount.

If you bring in A lot every week? Many Astral Diamonds, or another unique currency, or reward for game.

If any of those new recruits you invited Spend money on the game? That should reward as well?? Don't you think? I mean, if the friend wasn't invited in the first place, that new recruit wouldn't be paying money towards the game? So... If any recruit ever buys the Premium acct? Maybe the person referred him Get a sample premium account (say like 24 hours premium, than back to normal) for your referred friend buying acct. Or, if you already have a Prem acct, and your friend buys one? Than you get EITHER; Large portion of Astral Diamonds? OR... Small amount of Z coins?

If your friend BUYS any Z coin? Maybe you get like 1-5% of how much he bought, as NW's way saying "thank you" to the guy who invited the guy who just bought 1000 Zen. So If a friend buys 1000 Zen coins? You should be rewarded 10 Zen Coin. Say your a regular? You move up a level as a recruiter for the game, and you get 2% of every Zen coin purchase your friends make?

TOO MANY IDEAS? Well... If anything here were to be implemented? Would make for huge difference! It would really make the game worthwhile if they reward their active members for referring a friend, or two!! Otherwise... your leaving it up to banners and online posters to try catching other's attn!! If I knew someone who looking for game to play, and I know he likes D&D style playing... wouldn't I have better chance referring him to Neverwinter? Than trusting he "may/may not" see a banner online?

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

I agree with demonmonger. This kind of setup does not work with free-to-play games.
My opinions are my own. I do not work for PWE or Cryptic. - Forum Rules - Protector's Enclave Discord - I play on Xbox

If setup right, and programmed properly... anything works right!

    I think it would.

That will be botted. They are not even able to deal with current bot issues. I don't expect they can do it right for yet another honey pot for the bots.

We're not talking about the feasibility but we're talking about its influence on the game.

Than you must explain how this would be effected! I don't understand! I don't delve too much in too many MMORPG games... infact this may be the only one I've tried in years... I do play TankiOnline, a MMO-FPS game of syfy tank designs.
A TOTALLY FREE game to play, with premium options to earn and gain more if you have premium passes... you custom many tank combo designs by purchasing in game equip using in game currency earned in game through in game play, and you choose which Hull/Turret/Paint/Protection you use per battle before entering... they allow sharing across a multitude of social media sites, texts message/email links, and website banners... they provide the person posting the links to gain credit and earn in game currency/rewards for every person that chooses their link to join!

NW may be RPG of MMO, with some FPS aspects, but much more of an adventure... I still don't think it's much different... but seeing as the game is BUILT around the community, with COOP style playing encouraged... I don't see or understand why it couldn't be feasible to allow in game invitations to be sent to friends through links, connecting back to you for rewards... if they are successful in playing! Am I saying you get rewarded when every person chooses link to see what game is about? No! Or even building character, to see what available, only to never play? No! Maybe something where the friend joining and creating a first character, the referral member gains a small bonus!? But if said friend accomplishes a major quest few levels in? Say getting to level 10? Or successfully completing the first dungeon quest searching for the Crown? Or some other early but important accomplishement to show they are into the game? Than the friend who referred that player should get a good bonus, say some Astral Diamonds or something! If said friend chooses to go premium in certain time frame, like first month of playing, the player referring maybe gets a Zen coin or few? Something along those lines! There isn't really a way someone could take advatage of that!! The game system gains more members! The free rewards to the referral player could encourage more referrals! More community and social involvement encouraged through friends developed automatically as they join off referrals will encourage more play of everyone, creating more opportunity for every one to possibly upgrade accts.

It just makes sense! Referral bonuses increase the demand on the game, and increase the possible revenue!

Uh.. People like myself are the very reason referral systems fail.

SOE now daybreak had a referral system where if you get a friend to join and they sub you both get a free month plus items, exp boost and teleport ability.

Sooo I would make a new account sub it for a month toss it to a random friend on steam they'd play for a month or not at all. I'd keep getting new toons to box for crafting or faster traveling...

In the end a fancy little item wont encourage a friend of yours to join something they didn't want to play anyway.

The naivety of this statement when coupled with Cryptic made me chuckle, Well done!
    Definitely not an Arc User.

Well... It won't matter any more anyway!! Suddenly, last couple days, after playing fine for couple weeks, I'm suddenly having CRASH issues with game! Possibly cause of their update couple days ago, they said they did something with OS Win or something!

Care to help? Look for my thread in the support threads asking for help! If I can't get it to work? I won't be playing any more!

That's what I expected. You've not played enough mmos to know what would happen.
