SW - HB FURY W/ RECOVERY

Has anyone really tried to spec into recovery for a warlock? I was contemplating using 2 relic piece with recovery instead of the power and crit. It seems to me if you can get killing flames and fiery bolt down to 7 seconds, you could almost be spamming it with the DC fighters recovery?
What are everyone's thoughts on the relic w/ recovery? Is it even possible to have a viable recovery build for a warlock?

while i haven't tried a recovery centric build, i have recently changed some gear on my HB Furylock that substituted about %13 recovery for %10 crit and armor pen. And while i do noticeably more dmg per hit, i certainly notice the change in my power cooldowns. I haven't done the math to figure out how my overall DPS is affected. I would be interested to know the numbers myself. The good thing is really like hellish rebuke and essence defiler with my plaguefire WE as i stack multiple dots and buffs/debuffs while waiting for the cooldowns

IMO, the diminishing return on Neverwinter's recharge speed formula is harsh for a practical SW DPS build. Couple that with our funky, drawn out animations and you may be better off stacking power (dont forget about Owlbear) and crit.

Give it a shot though. I'd like to see it. :)

I have all epic companions, OBC included. resting around 24k power. I get up to 78% crit chance with companion gift and 52k power. After that i'm around 6-7k recovery. Right now my Killing Flames is around 8-9 second cool down based on how much stamina I have.
I fee like if it can get another say 5-6 k out of recovery, then I could get those cool downs in the 6-7 second range. And with fighters recovery from DCs, you can get that down to 2-3 seconds? I can't see how that wouldn't be more beneficial than that extra 4k power.

In my opinion a recovery of 3-4k is fine... no more needed. With insignia bonus Artificer's Persuasion I'm at 7-8 seconds on KF on bosses (lesser with DC power up...more power...more recovery) and with high AP it's a very high uptime. I don't waste power and crit for a half of a second more or less...

But the recovery of the encounters could be lowered by the Devs a bit... that would be nice...^^

Oh yeah, that's something we SWs need, I mean, just look at the cooldown of hadar's grasp, it's awfully long.
I agree with you on others here, stacking recovery wouldn't be a good idea.

MY HFSW sits at 30% recovery w/o any buffs. I've been a fan of recovery on my SW ever since I started playing a DC on the side. I figured if I can cast a few more spells than the next player I should deal more overall damage by the end of the dungeon. For my SW I chose the recovery boots and I have recovery on my chest armor. I also use the insignias that give recovery. I love it!
