Best way to farm RP?

I've been trying to get ready for the upcoming double RP event, I'm plan on getting all my artifacts to Mythic. I've almost bought all the feeder artifacts I need and I have most of the marks I'll need, all I really need now is some RP. I know the double enchantment event is coming up soon, does anybody have any good suggestions on how to farm RP the most effective way? Thanks for any help.

If its only artifacts, then I use 5 Fey Blessed (R9) and farm HE's in Drowned Shore during double enchant events.
I almost without fail get at least one double drop of R5 enchantments from killing the monsters, and the HE drops a box that usually contains 2 more.
Failing that, running round Sharandar slaughtering redcaps drops many R5s.
Eäch R5 is worth just over 2K.
Last double event I got a new character all 4 artifacts to gold this way, and already have 800 saved for the next double RP.

Getting 5 Fey Blessed to R9 can take a lot of Thaums, and cost quite a bit on AH (especially this close to a double event) so R8s will do at a push.

Get quarter master enchantments in all utility slots then open however many bags you get on 2x enchants. With a drop rate of 10.5% chance you get a chance at double R 7's to drop from the bags. Maybe 1 out of 10 bags. With 5% you will get 2-4, R/5's or mostly 2-4, R/6's.The quarter masters enchants burn out and drop less bags as you play though. First few hrs playing there great. I've done a long comparison between 21% of quarter masters Vs 25% fey blessings and i got a good portion more RP off the Quarters than the feys slotted fulltime. If you know your going to play a long session it pays off to switch out the Quarters with Fey blessings so to start getting constant R/5 drops for the rest of the night.
But always run all missions in sharandar everyday. To start you get thuamaturgic stones for completing the missions and this helps for enchantment upgrades, but the critters in sharandar have a tendancy to drop alot of R/5's and quarter master bags alot.
You can also make fey blessing and dragon hoard R/8 enchantments through your campaign menu which count for a lot of RP.

Its weird how it plays out.
I did essentially the same thing, and found QMs to drop at a fraction of the stated percentage, but with Fey Blessed well above. Someone said something about a cool down period on QMs? I've had multiple Fey Blessed from the same fight.

The thing with Fey Blessed, if its just artifacts you want to refine, is that its always a bog standard enchantment, no profession assets or potions etc.

One thing I am certain of, Tymoras Lucky Enchantments are no substitute for either.

Of course, Wanderers Fortune mount insignia bonus helps as well.

OP, If you do choose to go Quarter Master, and can't find/afford any let me know. I've got about 50 of them...
Rank 5 so only 0.5% on each, but they refine to 6 for only 3240 and one blue Potency, no extra enchantment consumed.
I'll mail you five if you want.

Thanks guys. Ever since I farmed Drowned Shores for the Drowned weapons I've been going there to farm RP during the double enchantment events. I normally use 3 dragon hoard/2 fey blessings, but I swapped out the dragon hoards for all fey blessings. They're only rank 8s, but I've got a decent amount of thamaturgic stones saved up from Sharandar though so I'll probably work on ranking some of those up durning double refinement so I'll be more prepared for the next double enchantment event.

And thanks for the offer Mordekai, but I think I'll just try out the Fey Blessings and see how that works. I appreciate the offer though.

collect r7 runes. save up enchantment boxes (packs) and companion boxes packs and open on 2x enchants. the companion packs also drop r8's and 9's. that goes a LONG way.

For End-game I'd recommend Fey blessings, quartermasters, and treasure maps for most the the rp you'd need after that point.

    +1000 for treasure maps!

For just a little bit of luck fishing or what I typically do...buy maps with gold, you will see some serious refinement. It is RNG based...but I typically hit more than I miss.

I definitely agree with the fishing. I've gotten a pretty crazy amount of Black Opal's and Blood Ruby's the past couple weeks. I've been getting a little burned out on the treasure hunting though and wanted to switch it up for a bit. I'm sure I'll end up going back to fishing after the double enchantment event though.

Had three Brilliant Diamonds in the same day after farming 36x maps in that day. :P The last 6 granted me the three of em, but tbh if you're just after the refinement itself your better off selling the maps and buying it. ^-^ BUT if ya after the other thingy's as well then get hunting<3

I think I just got to final mission in moving ice last night. Where/how do you get the treasure maps? I saw a video on my feed other day of guy getting brilliant from what I'm guessing was a treasure map. I haven't seen or got one yet.

Map in a bottle can be obtained by fishing in the designated "ringed" areas throughout the zone. These bottles are unbound...so you can also purchase them from AH with AD or from other players via trade.

    Good luck

SH HEs guarantee R5s you can get a group and farm them till your eyes pop out, or you can get leadership up and do the rp tasks thaum stones at lvl 21 basic artifact stones at lvl 23 and res stones at lvl 24

Thank you for the link. the only question I still have about fishing is about the fishing circles. Based on the maps there are a few specifically I want to hit but when I go there they aren't there. Are they all on a cycle or what?
  • yiazzyyiazzy Member Posts: 182 Arc User
Yeah kett, they disappear after a while, and you'll have to wait for them to respawn. Not sure if it's the same kind of cycle as HE's or not though.

Yeah, Stronghold HEs can be as good as Drowned Shore.
Upside of SH is a constant supply of HEs, down side is diminishing returns on the other main reward, Influence.
Some guilds organise regular Influence runs so you can farm high Alliance strongholds T3 HEs for better rewards. If your guild/alliance doesn't, suggest it or just do it yourself.
