New Player - Item Lv 1600 to 2500

Hi

I'm a new player who've just got to lv70 (OP tank) and I've got some lv115 items from the auction house to have a gear score of 1680.

My question is, how do you progress to increase your level higher?, I've ran some epic dungeons and I've been offered a waist item every time at 130.

So do I keep grinding epic dungeons?, I tried also a few skirmishes but don't remember getting any gear.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

-Putting enchants on your gear and leveling the enchants
-Keep grinding different epic dungeons, they drop different gear
-Do the campaigns, get the drowcraft pants and shirt
-get two Dusk pieces from the auction house or tradebar store
-Join a guild and get two dragonflight bits of gear
    -keep leveling the enchants
-get a good companion that attacks a lot and doesn't die often and start working on their bonding
-when you get to 2500 start the mDemo farm to get your twisted weapons
    -level up your artifacts
-don't forget to level up your artifact gear when you get it (neck, belt, weapons)

Join a guild that does dragonflight and will run T2 dungeons with you for protector seals, this'll get you dragonflight armor which is good. run heroic encounters in dread ring and start saving up underdark currency to purchase a set of purple shirt and pants from Mantol Derith. don't use the free elemental weapons, get the water or fire ones from the elemental evil campaign or buy from the AH.

You'll need to get basic weapon and armor enchantments too.

Some great advice given so far. The only thing I would add is to work on your Professions, as some of them now allow you to build artifact weapons that previously were only available by farming the elemental evil heroics. Ultimately you'll want to replace them with the Twisted set once you get to over IL 2500, but they'll help you get there a bit faster, and make the content a bit easier in the mean time.

    Hi Guys

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer in such detail, that's a huge help to me. I have a plan of attack now that I can go after to help me gear up. One thing I'll need to learn about is levelling enchantments and artefacts, so far I've not done any, I've simply slotted stuff that I got questing. I was a bit intimidated with all the variety of refinement stones I've picked up along the way and not sure exactly how to use them all. Guess I'll need to get cracking now.

    Cheers

Power, stability & Union stones are for artifacts (e.g. Lantern of revelation or Waters of Elahzad) resonance stones are for gear; weapons, neck and belt and Thaumaturgics are for levelling up enchantments.

    There's more info here: neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Enchanting#Refinement_Points

It's usually best to save them up for a 2x Refinement event and we have one due on March 2nd.

Not sure if this was explained to you well or not...

Skrims are great for getting the 140 and 145 double enchantment rings. The skrims are Prophecy of Madness and Throne of the Dwarven Gods.

Dungeons - each drops various pieces of gear. You get Marks of Element for completing most content level 70 and above. You use those to get 130 gear in Conclave or you could grind campaign heroic challenges to get Demonic Ichor to get not only the Drowcraft Pants and Shirt, but also use the Ichor to buy 135vDrowcraft gear.

Enchantments - use the Auction House to buy level 8 enchantments. For any support role I recommend recovery as 200 increase in Recovery is a 1% increase in your stats whereas other stats require 400 to get a 1% increase.

Work on your boons as well, those are your main for building up your stats. Elemental Evil, Underdark, Dread Ring, Maze Engine, Sharndar, etc...
