So far the only thing I kinda didn't like was the intro to the new zone which took 3 hours to finish all the quests required on ya first day, rip multi-toon peeps. cx I don't mind the fishing it's a bit more involved and actually shows you roughly the quality of fish you're going to get.
The Kayak seems alright, I wouldn't mind at least a Blue or purple one though.
As for the introducing more things to old and newish content, I'm happy ^.^ It's the type of things I wanted to see added to the game, I haven't been blessed with any special loot yet, but my good friend just named himself a Brutality +5, Green Heart of the Dragon(Account bound) from CN, and an Orcus Wand all in a single day. Hope that means the loot has been easier to obtain, or he's just down right lucky. Still I've heard the ear is also more common of a drop in FBI so then maybe I can actually get me Bracers. ;3 lol
So how's it for you guys?

Ignoring the many, many, MANY whiners out there, I actually like the SoMI and the Key changes. See, I actually read about the key changes on pc, and started saving a month ago. I've got over a hundred Epic keys, 30 Greater Demonic, and 26 Lesser Demonic. It's not Arc's fault if others didnt have the common sense to do the same.
Fishing is great, MUCH better than Lonelywood/Winter Festival, though I'm slightly irritated about my Legendary fishing rod becoming redundant, not enough to matter though. One of my alliance chaps fished up a map to a purple Khyek!
New enemies, new items, NEW campaign items...what's not to like?
You get Rob Salvatore to write a campaign, and you get character driven straightforward Dungeons & Dragons meat and drink storylines. "Go here and kill these bad guys, rescue these good guys and reclaim a throne..."
2 mods later and folk are making do with Minecraft lite and HAMSTER Voninblood. Collect some of this... a ton of that, give that to the campaign screen... then go get more.
If I'd ever run a tabletop D&D campaign like this shower, I'd have been lynched.
Maybe I will change my mind, but right now I'm not doing a whole lot of somi.
And can anybody tell me what this currendy is used for anyway? I can't seed to find it in my inventory or anything to buy with it.
Fishing is long, dull and boring. One dude over at xboxachievements even said as a joke maybe next mod we will be shining shoes for a couple linus favor or another currendy
Now for the rest of SOMI , again the visuals are georgous, i love the graphics, the music is also very nice. But once again past that... are the quest repetitive or what? Holy cow... 3 times the same quest pretty much on repeat in the intro... Either kill stuff or activate totem... And navigating the see takes forever.. i wish there would be teleports. Im always stuck into block of ices randomly there only to slow me down it seem. The final quest of the intro was alright but the rest all seem like filler.
Personally im not bothering with the weapons, too much of an hassle. Ill wait for hopefully new weapons in futur mods using regular refinement.
So overall all i want is to breeze trough this mod as fastest as possible for achievements and don't come back to it. I have no desire to farm 120 Hours for restoring weapons that i will still need to keep filled every day... But the fishing achievement scare me... it may take forever and i have no idea how hard it will be to do the raid without anybody dying. Talk about an achievement made to HAMSTER you off. If it was to not die yourself fine, but now im even expected to base what i earn on how others perform... Hope at least its just the normal version and not too hard.
Oh and small thing maybe, but since SOMI my cape does not even appear anymore when i ride my mount... i want it back !! Thats part of my style.
The key change was understandable. But it was poorly implemented and, as seems to be the case a lot for Neverwinter, they managed to lie again and not push through the lowered price of keys. It doesn't affect my wallet though because I won't put money into a product that has shown it won't improve repeatedly.
With all the stuff we've got to grind for the new artifact weapons, you honestly can't tell me you prefer killing Demogorgon for the 1927464746373735th time???
As for Edemo... the battle is fine. I always hated the arena damage you get at all time but otherwise cool battle. I kinda gave up on getting +5 rings from it tough. I play it from time to time to earn AD and just for fun, if i get it cool, if i don't so be it.
I guess i just don't like how the new mod is all over the place... I played for hundred of hours to have those twisted weapons finally legendary... The least it could do is let me put them into the new weapons to get 80% done already...
And when it comes to HE i hate having to bother doing them. I hate the concept of begging for an inv to get to an instance where its going on and rinse and repeat the same damn task over and over again for hope to find the stuff you need.
I only did HE during mod 10 maybe 2-3 times in bryn shander, usually doing 123-123-123 and then being very tired of it and leaving, without having earn anything that good beside some voninblood, wich i would had probably got more by just running around the map popping up relics
So far I've seen people defend this stuff based on, "but you can get..." or "its not as bad as..."
Where are the rave reviews of the content, of the plot, of how much FUN it is?
I defend this game a lot, but not blindly.
I don't care if someone thinks the RNG is broken, or id an event is aimed at someone at a lower point in the game than me.
But I do care when the core of an action adventure game is shifted to the point where the grinding is literally given over to sitting down and waiting for drops. Sorry...
I can't believe that's even a question. Anyone who'd rather fish than fight Demogorgon, unless its for real, in the street outside their house... needs to hand in their D&D player credentials and not let the door hit them on the way out.
A Lesser Demonic Key a day for 5 characters, The Faerzress is only 150 and even Dread Ring DHEs are more fun than dangling string in a lake.
I rarely get to do 5 a day, but the ones who don't get a Skirmish.
I know fighting Demons doesn't have the same allure as trading Brown Trout with an Elk or whatever... but I'll stick to the simple life.
And yes, I do prefer the fishing to Demogorgon. Fishing actually yields rewards whereas Demo gets me +1/+2 rings CONSTANTLY.
How you slew the mighty guppy, and dragged the evil perch to its doom on the floor of your canoe.
And in other news, snooker declared more exciting than football cos they score more points in snooker.
Also I'm enjoying the fishing. Sit back and relax.
Constantly blowing smoke up the developers arses over stuff like this sets a concerning precedent.
Continually saying how great fishing is because "cool stuff... duh" sends one simple message.
"We don't care about the quality of the game mechanics , campaign, NPCs or even whether all we are doing is Black Ice but without the professions window to do the brain stalling mundane day to day sitting still and waiting for HAMSTER to happen TO us... just as long as the rewards are cool."
What then is going to motivate the writers of this snooze fest to come up with proper fantasy adventure material in the future?
Anyway, I just heard the new Scrap booking and Quilt making add ons are about to drop on Destiny...
I know... sounds HAMSTER huh?
But you should see the rewards!
The other change i hate is (probably from a bit earlier) the change to the maze engine brunnor fetch quests. Yeah because i really need to find 5 demonic things in ice spire peak. HAMSTER takes like 10 minutes to ride to that last section. Stopping halfway to search for stupid HAMSTER is annoying. the old way was simpler and didn't annoy as much.
