DC has power icon hung on cursor -- cannot resolve.

I have logged a couple tickets on this, but have not heard from anyone over the last few days, so I thought while I continue to wait I would check here if anyone has encountered this.

I can not use any powers where I target a spot on the ground. This includes both dailies and encounter powers. When I hit ALT, then I see a target reticle and in the middle of the reticle is my NW mouse cursor and attached to it is a square power icon (as if I had drug the power off the bar).

Here is what I have tried to resolve this:
- Hit ESC
- ALT back and forth a few times.
- Killed self
- Logged out and back in.
- Rebooted computer.
- Changed characters and back.
- Changed to a different DC character on the same account (that other DC is fine).
- Logged in from a different computer.
- Waited several days to see if it would fix itself.
- Drug different powers into the power bar.
- Removed all powers from the power bar.
- Tried clicking the power bar, as if to place a power there.
- Turned auto-targeting on and off.
- Re-spec'd the character.

Regardless of what I do, or what computer I use, none of this changes the problem.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

    Have you tried removing all of your gear and making all companions inactive?

    Yes, I have tried completely stripping the character of everything, and making all the companions inactive. (A friend suggested this soon after I posted this here). Unfortunately that did not help. The Customer Service team is stumped, so they have asked that I create a bug report for the dev team. It sounds like this character is going to be out of action for awhile.

    Hey, a close friend of mine is having the same exact problem on his DC. His other characters he is able to play without a problem. We would like to know if you found a fix!

    Edit: My friend was able to fix this problem by resetting the encounter ability key bindings.

    Thanks Mosh and Dupeks! (I haven't been back to the forum for awhile).

    I just now tried a combination of both of your suggestions. Resetting the key binds didn't work. I then changed the key binds, and the new ones still didn't work. Then I reset the key binds again... and presto... its working now.

    Thanks so much... I was begin to accept that the character was a going to be a write off.

    Since this appears to be a known issued (although not that common) it would have been nice if someone from the dang company that I have paid a lot of money to (and pay monthly via VIP) would have assisted me with this -- but I guess they at least provided the forums where other could help me. Thanks again... time to start playing my DC again! Woohoo!
