[PS4] Access Existing Characters on New Gamertag or Simultaneously on 2 consoles with same Gamertag

My wife and I both play the game. We use one Gamer Tag. We want to play together at the same time. We are willing to buy another Playstation 4 to do this, but want to know if it will be possible to play with our existing characters together before we purchase the extra Playstation.

We each have 2 characters on the Gamertag for a total of 4. Can characters be transferred to another gamertag? Can characters on the same gamer tag be accessed from 2 PS4 consoles simultaneously? Is there another way we can do this?

Thanks for your help and input.

No, it's not possible to transfer them. No, you can't be signed into the game on the same account twice. I also would like to point out that sharing an account is a violation of the ToS, and could lead to a ban.

Arc for sure. Uncertain about PSN, I'll have to look that one up and get back to you.

Edit: I googled PSN's ToS. I didn't see anything about sharing accounts being a violation. However, Arc's ToS clearly states the following:

4.7 Your Account may only to be used by you. We are not responsible for any misuse of your Account or your User ID, you agree to accept all risks of misuse of and unauthorized access to your Account and to hold us and our affiliates harmless from and against any misuse use of your Account or your User ID, including, but not limited to, improper or unauthorized use by someone to whom you revealed your password.

In marriage one shares a lot. It never occurred to me to tell her she couldn't play on my PSN acccount when we 1st started. This is the 1st game we've actually both played that had the capability to play at the same time together.

When we 1st started playing the idea that we'd both enjoy this game so much we'd be willing to purchase another PS4 to play together seemed implausible.

I understand why that is in the TOS though. I am certain we are not abusing the game. We just wanted to share something we both enjoy.

    Thanks for your response.

I just asked because I was thinking of a household with more than one kid in it - I can see the parents making them share an account rather than wanting to pay for them each to have a separate account.

I'm pretty sure that would still be against the rules, but it would be best to ask Customer Support to be 100% certain. I do know they have banned people for sharing accounts with their significant other, if they have enough evidence of it (usually the person admits to it in a support ticket). I would assume it would be the same for siblings.

This happened to my family when I started playing DCUO. My daughter realized that it was F2P on PS3 and download it on her system and created her own account. My wife used my daughter or my account when we were playing at times we all wanted to play at the same time. Long story short, after 9 months of playing my wife finally created her own account and she lost all of her progress on her prior characters because you cannot move characters across accounts. The benefit was she had her own account and we all could play together, but the down side is she lost everything she earned up to that point.

With all of us having our own PSN ID we can pick up and play any PS4 game together without any issues or worrying about who is playing what, because we also all have our own PS4 and 40"+ TVs. My system being the lone 4K PS in the house and I honestly can say PS4 Pro is not worth its value ATM or maybe even until the next model is released. Older PS4 titles run so much better on my launch day PS4 that the only time I use the PRO is to play games that have pro enabled titles.

Sounds like something they include primarily to cover them from liability which is understandable, i.e. your account is your responsibility & that another user accessing your account is not an excuse to absolve you of whatever negative outcomes happens

Banning folks over such things as simply sharing (like a child on a parents account) sounds pretty heavy handed in my opinion

That clause is not to protect the consumer but PWE. It is very common to have a clause like that in a ToS to protect the organization where individuals may share accounts. It has no implications to the organization if you share and someone steals your stuff. The problem falls on the individual account holder.

The original poster question resolves around him and his wife transferring her stuff onto another account. Not going to happen. However, they can move the enchantments and other items over if she created an account. Though anything else purchased is lost.
