Can krill be used as bait?i

I ran out of worms and switched to krill, but I can't get the casting to work. Do I need a rod upgrade?

You can only get an Enchanted purple rod by opening maps and digging around treasures.

Krill is a better bait then worms are, at least in my experience and you get it only by doing dailies.

White fishing rod just sucks a lot.

It is important to hit a tab in order for the bait to work or be switched.

Fish in circles designed for fishing. You will see birds above the circles if you can not find it. Or ask in your guild for the fishing circles maps.

Should work, if you can't tab to it, relog (or just go to char select menu and back). sometimes when you run out of one type of bait it wont let you swap to the other correctly.
But bottom line, you don't need rod upgrade to use Krill.

Thanks. I went back to fishing an hour later and the krill started working. I will remember the relog trick the next times it gets buggy.

yes, if you run out of any bait while fishing you cannot switch bait any more and fishing seems broken.
    Reloging solves this problem.

You don't actually need to relog, just get back to land, then jump back in the water... that seems to reset any fishing glitches for me. Though if you relog you don't actually have to move... well unless your kheyk doesn't spawn right away and you die of hypothermia instead! ;)
