/ Combatlog 1 issue

raydrootraydroot Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 110 Arc User
Just recently when ever I try to run a Combatlog during Dragon Harold runs and Tiamat raids my FPS drops significantly, to the point where it is unplayable. When I stop the log /Combatlog 0 everything goes back to normal. My rig specs are i7, 12g Mem, 4g GTX 870 gp.

SSD ? And check if write cache is enabled in windows.

I think the log writer is not asynchronous so every time it tries to write, the frame waits, a lot of writes = a lot of waiting -> huge fps drop. Or another possibility that a lot of the writes fill the IOPS and the game can't read the textures and what needed, so again FPS drop.

So unless they will do something to the game engine, like writing the logs asynchronously, or loading more things into the memory, SSD and the write cache enabled should help.
(If I guess the issue correctly)

Sorry, should be Herald. Meaning forerunner or harbinger.

Have SSD and write cache is enabled. Maybe reload the game :(
