Dragon Turtle Moult drop rate too low in HEs

Please change the drop rate of Dragon Turtle Moults on Heroic Encounters.
I've been running Big Heroic Encounters in Sea of Moving Ice since the first day and it's a pain to get them.
I ran Big Heroic Encounters 20 times today, 16 of which were Great Success and I got no Dragon Turtle Moult.

I get more dragon turtle moults from treasure maps. That's not right.

    I don't agree. People selling the items on the AH might have a different opinion.
    They seem to get enough moults. More is always better, sure, but there is no "I can not get item ABC" like the purple dragon boat.
    It would be different if the items were BtA or BtC.

    People who sell dragon moult, I would think, are probably the ones not too bothered with restoring their weapons, with the exception of certain notorious farmers.
    Also, I can only assume there are lots of people who prefere actually playing the game, rather than stare at the screen while their PC tries to pull in "the catch of the day". Since both ways are supposed to be valid ways to farm moults, presumably equal, they either need to lower moult rates from chests, or increase it from HE's, and to be honest, I'd rather they decrease chances from chests, than keep it as it is, because the thought of fishing being the most efficient way to farm ad, makes me want to throw bricks at my computer, so I can escape the idiocracy this game has been dumbed down to.

    Yup. Tooltips should be honest. They state that the source of moults are HEs, so HEs should be the most efficient way to get them. Currently they are not, as fishing for maps will give you a better return rate on your time (at least in my experience) in terms of moults. I pretty much gave up on HEs at the time being after getting my mistletoes....

    My experience tells me that the only technical response we can expect from this statement is the nerf of drops from maps.
    But I agree with you. Question is, when is enough enough? 100 HEs should guarantee you how many Moults?

    Well, most groups I see in SoMI can grind an encounter in around 6 minutes average including movement to the next one so say 10 encounters an hour. Say 8 full hours of grind per weapon considering you have to grind other reagents+lanolin+marks+RP+voniblod?
    One moult every 4-5 encounters would be reasonable.

    Why worry bout dragon turtle moult? You'll have tome to breed a heraldry of dragon turtles before you have all the marks you need to refine your weapons anyways.

    That wouldn't be too bad if the new instance was giving moults too at a reasonable rate, but it's not giving any. When are we going to be able to escape this Heroic encounters hell? That kind of content is boring!

    The rate I've noticed is FIRST, DON'T BE AN IDIOT AND OPEN EVERY REWARD WHEN YOU GET IT if you you'd listened to Kenny Rogers in his song 'The Gambler' . . . there'll be time enough for counting when the dealin's done. Wait until you are done playng to open all the rewards and you will find that every Third Round (if you open one, the counting starts again) I did 7 cycles of 3 BHEs and ended up with 3 Dragon moult (1st 4th & 7th rounds). A friend did 11 rounds, then opened them up & got 4 DM. Just sayin' . . .

    As with most applications of RNG in NW, this will work exactly as you have stated for some people but nothing like it for others. The last couple of times I did Big HEs in SoMI I also made a point of not opening the rewards until I had finished the run. One lasted 9 HEs, the other 10. In both cases, I only got a single Dragon Turtle Moult for my efforts. As I now have all the purple items I need to restore my relic weapons, I have gone back to treasure hunting. Around 1 in 5, or at worst 1 in 10, treasure chests have given me a pair of Dragon Turtle Moults. Plus all of the other goodies including Lanolin, Dubbin, Relic RP and gallons of Voninblod. Also, my keyboard likes me more for taking less of a hammering than the burnout inducing Big HE runs :)

    I took my own advice this past weekend. On Saturday I did 24 HEs and got Voninblood, double enchants, 6 DM, and an evermelt bottle in a good group which ranged from 16-24 on the map, Sunday I did 22 HEs in a less good group and ended up withVoninblood, double enchants and 1 DM. RNG strikes again.
