Guys, I came back to Neverwinter yesterday, and I'm lost! Please, help me.
  1. Which build are currently doing better, Support or Damage?
  2. Can anyone tell me what have changed in CW on Mod10? Or send me a link telling about it.
  3. Why so many haters on @thefabricant?
Thanks!

    1. It's a mix. First get strong, then worry about builds. Renegade MoF is the best support option for a Wizard (one that's most useful party-wise)
    2. Many things changed for the CW since MOD6 up to MOD10, and all of them were practically bad choices. The only good thing that came out of it is SpellTwisting (get to learn that feat) and Disintegrate (basically the most basic burst encounter). The main way to deal damage nowadays relies on the pet+runestone combo, as well as maximizing your Critical Strike (arpen comes first).
    3. I'm not sure, I wasn't here when it happened (if it happened). I think he left because people were too clingy and didn't want to think with their own head for making builds. It'd also be nice if people stop asking for him and actually respect his decision to leave.

    Mod removed rule violation.

    Thanks @c1k4ml3kc3!

I will be a casual player, spending only 2~3 hours per day playing Neverwinter and I won't spend money in the game.
So, if I pick Renegade MoF, it will be a good choice? I mean, in terms of its necessity in time spent playing, money spent in the game (0 in my case)...

Thanks again if anyone can help me with it.

Yes, that would be the best choice since you'd be bringing a lot to the team due to the bonuses that Chaos magic, above other things, bring forth.
I can't explain how to properly play the MoF rene, it will take a bit more than just casual gameplay. The idea is to collect enemies, use PlagueFire or Dread, make enemies weaker and your team stronger.

    Thanks again @c1k4ml3kc3.

Just one more question... Which status should I focus on for Renegade MoF?

    You're welcome.

What do you define under status? I'm not sure

Oh, STATS. The best idea is to check already present information regarding the stats somewhere on the forum. I can't really pinpoint the exact location of where this might be situated at, however Arpen caps at around 60% for PvE (unless changed in the meantime, so please check it with someone who's more active than me). Depending upon your build, your primary concern should be getting the best possible Weapon artifact and trying to upgrade it as far as you can or at least to Purple.

Damage itself, damage from the MainHand, the Primary weapon, is what you want the most because it's the first thing that calculates into the equation for the entire damage. Some feats do damage based on the Weapon Damage percentage and may or may not critically strike while doing so.
The ideal hi-end build is based upon having 60% Arpen that you will get either through the pet or by artifacts or by the mount. It will take some time to check what's the best or ideal state to purchase something. For instance items with high recovery won't cost as much as items with high critical strike, you get the point.

You can get artifacts for free if you have several characters at IceWind dale campaign that you finish after dealing with the Sharandar and Dreadring.

So, watch market, pay attention to the prices, look at some builds around and generally try to make the best that you can out of what you have.

I personally purchased several times the key packs (like VIP or whatever it's called nowadays), which gave me keys to open lockboxes), it was a somewhat good strategy.

Furthermore, to get easy stats, become a part of some guild. They will have different stats to offer depending upon their level and stature.

That's all I can say for now so happy gaming and take care :) Cheers

Now I already get level 70 and I'm with 1.7k IL, trying to get the Alliance gear and Elemental Fire Orb on Elemental Evil Campaign.
I have choosed Renegade MoF, but I wasn't enjoying in haven't a good damage. So I want to get more damage and continue helping my team with the Chaos Magic. Is it going to be worth it? I meant, trying to be a Renegade MoF with good damage, or should I just change to MoF Thaum or SS Thaum and be a true DPS?

    My feats: http://nwcalc.com/index.html#/cw?b=1oa5:k6rwk5:8dep:5tb7d,13k3ib0:1000000:1z00u00:1z050uv&h=0&p=mof&o=0

The general consensus seems to be that SS renegade is better for low ilvl, and then change to SS thaum at higher ilvl.

Mof rene is pretty bad for grinding solo, kinda like running with a DC not doing much damage to take advantage of own buff/debuffs. And you don't get storm spell. It fits better in groups as pure support.

IMO even at higher ilvl it's pretty bad for that. Going MoF thaum gives you a lot more flexibility. You can be DPS in a party that needs it by slotting chilling prescence and critical conflagration, or in a party that doesn't need the DPS you can slot combustive action+swath of destruction and spam Oppressive force, or you can take the middle ground and use critical conflagration and swath of destruction (especially if there's another CW in your party because it makes keeping smolder/rimefire up a lot easier).

SS thaum is more for parties where you want to be the DPS carry in a party.

    Ty guys!
So when I be able to buy some Zen to Respec my CW, I'll think about change to DPS build (SS Thaum or MoF Thaum).
Because I have only 150k AD and Respec FEATS spends almost 100k AD.

I'm here again to ask help haha.

I'm with 2.1k IL and I usually make the same or almost the same damage as people with around 2.5k IL on dungeons, so I think I'm going well.

But now I'm lost, I don't know what I should do to increase my IL. I intend to refine my Artifacts, but I'm waiting for the 2x RP event. And I intend to buy Lostmauth Necklace. I'm using Rank7 enchantments.

I'm currently with 260k AD and only doing campaign quests, because I don't know what I should do. Dungeons? Farm what? Try to get which gear now? etc.

Mounts (Same as companion, I dont have money for buy a better one):

PS: I'm SS Ren and trying to focus on Power and Crit.

Well, it seems like you have reached a point where it is hard to advance. Maybe do some ndemo for +4/5 rings and drowcraft gear. On my alts I don't care about mounts. I have the heavy spider which gives power and wanderer's fortune, account unlock and makes every toon fun to play for a short while. I also use my free Renegade Illutionist over my free Radiant Ioun stone. He does some fancy fun stuff. And he has probably saved my butt more times then an augment that never received any love would.

True but doing Underdark campaign will allow you to get new gear and increase your iLvl. Keep running that as well as dungeons/skirmishes for the AD.

Now, continue doing things like that for another year. There's not much to do after that point except grinding and upgrading your gear. Focus more on your weapon, that will give you the biggest damage increase. Read more about the pets.
Now, it takes time and dedication but overall don't get your hopes high. At this point you'll either continue playing or stop playing overall.
Also, I hope that you have a better mount.

    Ty guys!
And how can I increase my Critical Severity? Today I saw a CW with 90% Critical Severity and I didn't understand how he got it, because even using Vorpal, my Critical Severity stays in 75%.

@c1k4ml3kc3 That's definitely not the case. He wouldn't release such a guide for everyone to use and he wouldn't had been so helpful each and every time someone had a question. He left because it was time.

Neither are the reasons imo, but lets not bring it (the reason) back...
