New valhala set bonus

So guys, which set would you prefer for a mostly tank and buff build, seldarine or valhalla?

    Personally, I have moved away from artifacts sets as none of them are ideal for any of the classes I play, GF included, who currently has the Lathander set but will be dropping it with the new double refinement event coming up later this month on PC.

    I would definetly say Valhalla... well, assuming I could acquire one.

    For a tank based GF, Seldarine is... eh... both in terms of set bonus and in stats. Although Seldarine does have a small advantage of the artifact having decently good stats.

    Lirithiel makes a good point in that the picking gear which has good stats usually outweighs a set bonus which has less than desireable stats.

    If you really "have to have" a set bonus, then the Lathander set would be a better overall pick, for its decent set bonus and pieces of gear which have nice stats.

    Why you need bonus set? All is weak. Valhala set bonus is ok but this artifact stat they are useless (if you're not a hybrid DPS-TANK)
    I choose artifacts with helpful stat (like def, HP and recovery), lathander cloak and constitution belt.

    I like the bonus, but the AC cloak puts me off it. I've switch between seldarine and lostmauth and found the AP cloak is alot more useful and noticable than a few DR.

    For a Tact GF anyway APG is not a problem in the slightest so slotting a cloak with AC means you can perhaps drop one Azure enchant for something else.

    Seldarane, Valhalla and Lathandar bonuses are okay. But as others have said, choose neck and waist for their stats and artifact for it's active/,equipped powers as well as stats.

    My main GF is using Valhalla only because the reflection fits my build.

    I was previously using Seldarine but as soon as I saw Valhalla...TRIGGERED.

    I'm a sucker for set bonuses and I'd say that Valhalla one is the best one out there.

    And since I'm constantly switching between a tank and DPS (solo setup), the stats from the Valhalla artifact fits this playstyle perfectly.

    AP gain as a Tact is insane, topping at something around 17k Recovery I'm hitting dailies like a gatling gun lol.

    "Whenever an enemy attacks the bearer, that enemy's damage is reduced by 3% for 6 seconds. Stack up to 5 times"

    I wonder will it work with KV and GA with the off hand passive.
    Anyone tried to test it? Tooltip says it's only for the bearer but Cryptic tooltips you know...

    I'd recommend Valhalla to all the tanky builds.

    I use Seldarine set on my GF. The set bonus healing seem small but when combined with my companion bonuses, water artifact weapon set bonus and my main artifact I can run most dungeons without a healer. The only dungeon I had issues with was CN.

    I only pug using the group finder. I tend to get into groups that are already in play and need a tank to hold it down without a healer as most players are DPS.

    Funny thing was one group I ran with I was top in healing, damage out and damage in. That is when you know the group was truly pugs and bad at that as well.

    For a Tactician that I am still leveling, I have its own Seldarine set prepared. A tactician has to mostly be a support, take damage, survive, build a lots of AP. That's why I prefer to heal myself half the amount I've lost and build real-talk AP.
    For Protector... ughh... I use full Lathander set of My personal choice. Note that Valhalla set is particularily good because it is not increasing your DR, but decreases enemy damage, which is way more useful in terms of tanking because when you have around 80% DR you may take it and don't worry that getting more DR wil be wasted... because it's not a DR, but damage reduction. As I said, extremely useful.

    Yea, I'd remove that LIFESTEAL ratings from most of those and swap them for... basically anything... unless you have decent lifsteal chance. Then there You go TAKE IT ! :blush:
