Not sure if anyone else has experienced this ...
Good news rarely follows that statement. However, after installing the latest patch and verifying the files, the Cryptic splashscreen appears (as usual) and the loading bar begins to fill. This past few times (amid reboots, cleanups, and other simple housekeeping chores) the loading bar stops filling, the mouse cursor appears, and I'm left with no other options but a graceless shutdown and reboot. Everything ran smoothly before the patch, now I can't even load the game.
Clues, anyone?
I'm running this on a 2nd gen Intel core i5, 8gb RAM, Radeon HD 7450 laptop with Leap 42.1/wine setup - soon to be replaced with a more capable desktop.
