Goden lion as part of your pet line up?

I tried to look around and did not see anything on it. Now I know as a summoned pet it has to many def slots. but what do you all think of the radiant damage it gives as a active pet? Currently I replaced my water archon with this lion. so far I feel ok with it. I'm just curious of what you guys and gals think of the golden lion.

Ok, That's a bit confusing. First not so good then it's great. lol. It's ok, I'll mark you as some were in the middle. As for me so far it's helped with kill time. But ya it will most likely get rotated out as I get closer to BIS. And get replaced with something more &*(^% for a GWF. currently I get a boost of about 12% that's 2% with 6 stacks have never gone to 8 stacks by the time I get to 6 every thing is dead lol.

Now that I understand. For me I saw a increase in dmg, but I also know I replaced a pet that was not very good to begin with so the lion was a emprovment. I also Know that at some time I will have to pony up and pay to get one of the better pets.

It is a Defender, which allows it to stay alive for long stretches of time in the Orcus fight, similar to the Yeti pet in Laz' solo CN video. That allows you to get behind Orcus and attack without a GF or Paladin in the party. But, as an Active, it is not that good. I have yet to see it recommended by other GWFs and noticed no increase in my damage while having it active.

Ok. I get it not only is it a defender but the radiant damage only stacks if its the summoned pet. as a result earned it a spot in my inactive stable of pets lol

I ran it on my GF for a while, good defender as mentioned, averages 3-4 stacks of Radiance. Unsure how the party dam buff works, if it affects you it's another 4% dam on top of an average 6%. Have heard a few mention they had no trouble getting the full 8 stacks, I've only ever seen that once.

Adds to a GF's Threat too. (and everyone else in range!).

Ya I can see were it would be a good pet for a GF but for some reason it just wont stack for me unless I use it as a summoned pet. So far the 2 I swap back and forth on are the fire archon and my warlock. fire I get ore power with little miss Z I get more crit have not figured out why that is yet. or why the golden lion wont stack as a active pet. But I must admit I'm having fun trying to figure it out. At this time I think it my be some thing I got rolling that's could be keeping it from stacking but I really don't think so. In truth I'm focusing more on getting sparky to up my crit and keep the power when he procs. And at this point I need to stop rambling. " crushes his soap box" lol

its not a good one. Reason being is its radiant damage is only 2 percent unless its summoned and then able to cast its roar. which can increase the damage by an extra 2 percent per stack. The issue is.. the roar increases agro of everyone it affects. When he refers to it being good is when your tank is prone to dying and having an off tank in that situation means a continued fight. I personally use galeb duhr or young yeti for that however.
