At PC MOD 10:
ARMOR SET
Dragon Flight Armor is the current BIS armor set, but you can do alot with dusk or drow.
Prestige or Warborn for PVP
Mix and match for bonuses and stat balance.
Someone else should tell you about the Frostborn and relic gear as i am not going to use them for anything else than running FBI and the mod 10.5 Svardborg trial.
WEAPON/ARMOR ENCHANT
Weapon ench for PVE trappers is the Dread, imo, Vorpal is good too, Combats mostly use these now(PVE/PVP). some Trappers use the Feytouched<---mostly PVP.
Armor ench, soulforged or negation some older enchs are getting a boost so watch them for some variety, for PVP negation or elven.
RINGS
Underdark rings are the best Go for the +4 ones.
Choose by stats
ARTIFACT GEAR (belt, neck)
Again choose by stats, u dont need a set bonus to be efficient, it helps, yes.
STAT ENCHANTS (radiant, dark etc)
Depends on how you gear up your toon and where the stats come from.
The stat priority for Defence goes as follows
HP<Life steal< Defense<Deflect, I have around 100k HP and get one shotted ONLY if dont dodge the reds.
Stats for Offence goes as follows
Power<Crit chance<Crit severity, Full Trappers dont need recovery, but if you have some from gear its no biggie.
I excluded Armor Pen/RI as you want it to be ~60% where it caps in PVE, little over or little under is not the end of the world.
Crit chance caps at 100% but be sure to have enough Power or you will hit for squat, With r12 bonds and a pet you can get this easily to near or 100%. The higher the crit the higher Crit sev you should have as it does not eat out any major Offence stats.
ARTIFACTS, some basic ones
Lantern
Lostmauth Horn
Wheel of elements
Sigils from other classes, if you have level 60s
Lots of variation and should be chosen with what gear and armor/ enchantments are you using.
COMPANIONS
Pets vary by players, but there are some you dont wanna miss out on.
Augment is a good viable pet still, in the very end you might want to go for R12 bondings + companion.
The Companion gear and Enchs should be supporting your build
