DPS GF or DPS GWF

Since MOD 10 came I was thinking about making my GF a DPS but what is better in DPS, a GWF or a GF. Thank you.

My guess would be gwf is still king for dps.
I've noticed a few "dps gf" having trouble staying alive in t2+ as well.
Obviously your choice, and I should be clear that I have no personal experience with gf vs gwf in this mod..
Dps gf just seems like a misnomer to me.

Yeah that's what I was hating about dps gf it's a little bit squichy but life steal is sick, i don't know if they changed anything with life steal. I guess I have to try both and see what's better. Thanks for your help ^^

i have played my GWF which is a 2.7k ilvl and can hold his own against 2.8-2.9k ilvl GWF's and I have played her with a DPS GF which was around 3k or so ilvl (cant remember specific ilvl), We were running ELOL and they did out dps me (however I do believe some of the powers GF use they count the DPS the actual dps do as their own damage) but they also died 4 of 5 times and we wiped a few times since they were not holding as much threat and were squishy.

Yeah I heard that GF doesn't even need to go conqueror (DPS) they just need a good team a good synchro and commander's strike and voila he is at top DPS. Im still trying to figure it out how CS works

I think the GWF is the better class for DPS with strength as the primary attribute which contributes to % damage and GF relies on a secondary attribute for % damage increase. The primary attribute also allows the highest starting value of 18, secondary attributes can only start at a max of 16. So before you even begin the spec out the character you are up 2% on the damage with GWF as compared to GF (there are other classes that have % damage linked to primary attribute).

If the GF has a miscalculation on one of the powers, that is not real damage by the GF, it just shows on the board at the end which may be fun but probably not going to help you kill things.

That's not correct @sundance777 and it DEFINITELY helps kill things. I main a TR but I have a 3.8k conq gf as well. Amazing damage and survivability

I use a hybrid Tac/conquer GF and if spec and feated right with the right artifacts, stats, mounts, bonuses, enchants, companions and powers then you can do it all. survivability, buffing, with big damage but in terms of whos top of the chart its probably the GWF. But the GF can do it all.
