Counter to Piercing damage

Two classes have piercing damage, TR and HR. Shouldn't a stackable stat exist for countering this? Control Resistance is good (to a degree) against CW and SW. Crit resistance is the counter to criticals. Why should these two classes have a magical damage type that cannot be countered?

    The definition of a critical hit is that it does more damage. However, somehow a counter to it was created.

    It it very easy to dodge, both, shocking as well as Hr attacks. But if you are a GWF or SW ... stack your Hp up and pray.

    Which is wrong I might add.
    Find me in game if you want and send me a domination/ gaunt invite. If you are good and im not busy ill play with you. Im not an elitist ill play with almost anyone.

    It it very easy to dodge, both, shocking as well as Hr attacks. But if you are a GWF or SW ... stack your Hp up and pray.

    I wasn't really seeking advice. I was making a proposal.

    The flip side of the piercing damage issue is that Destroyer GWFs are too tanky against other classes or builds.
    But wouldn't a stackable counter to piercing bring things to the middle? Control resistance by no means makes CW's less of a repel threat, but it mitigates to a degree.

    i dont get it really, would be any different to have a TR with GF/GWF encounter/at will burst?
    i mean i would sign for it right now and maybe even pay for it.
    do we want to start a petition?
    "please nerf shocking and give tr the same burst a gf/gwf can do with their other tools?"
    like to name one 80k impact shots? ( similar to griffon graths)

    I think you can deflect anything include piercing damage, as many said before its the best stat for PVP (beside tenacity)

    when delaling with HR, i switch my encounters to do more healing and more debuff (DC: break the spirit or geas)

    TR is one deadly hit. you have to watch for it. i think even here deflect can help (more then HP i belive)


    HR are harder now but its still new. Iet's wait for other classes balance to see the final picture.

    Seems fair , but when ?

    Example : Control Wizard (CW) cant kill other BIS players just Control.

    HR used to be like this ...but at least now have CC and DPS path one can choose / follow.

    IF CW gets a rework (increase base damage) we should be good ...also CWs has no way to counter SWs melting them 1v1

    CW - most squishy class being also weakest in terms of dps ? doesnt make sense at all. :s

    we need more killing in pvp for sure ... in pmvspm its now just about rotations ....thts not pvp ..its more a race to nodes game. :(

    what does itc have to do with piercing damage lol if you wanted itc taken away (the one survivability encounter a tr has) then replace it with something. stealth heals tr? a free dodge? a shield? immunity? you know, the things afforded to every other class. stealth itself is not an acceptable way to survive as you can still get hurt. anyway on topic, piercing from hrs and trs are completely different. trs use a daily! should it be spammable? nope. tell that to the devs who made dc sigil, fire weapons, flail snail, and overall high ap gain. ill tell everyone a secret they may not know: each class isnt supposed to be equal on everything. balanced yes, equal no. what i mean is a dc shouldnt be able to dps at the same level a gwf can. gwf shouldnt be able to tank as well as a gf etc. etc. there are these "roles" that we are supposed to accept when choosing specific characters. yes i am all for stepping outside of that role for personal reasons, but also know there are limits. trs are good in pvp because they are 1v1 experts. hrs are great at stopping movement and holding the battlefield. these are roles. piercing damage should exist. if it didnt, there would be no death in pvp at bis levels. this is also balance. as someone else hinted at, git gud.
