Question about Life Steal. SW need or don't need?

Basically if i'm not using ANY powers that have life steal, only DPS/destroy etc, do i need to level up my life steal? i really could use the Deflect in some of my slots instead as i have just gotten a Rising Ring of Deflect +4 and got a couple of Boons with Deflect Buffs. I will take my Life Steal to 0 if that is the case. Help is appreciated thanks.

Why would a SW need deflect?

Life steal can trigger whenever you attack with anything, not just life steal moves. Its more valuable to you than deflect

Deflect is good when you have the artifact off hand power borrowed time, combined with max soul sparks, it will improve survival in pvp. However its not needed in pve, lifesteal and incoming healing bonus are both good in pve and pvp. I have deflect (with borrowed time artifact power) incoming healing bonus and lifesteal since i'm more on pvp

Life Steal is good for all DPS classes as it helps you get health back based on the damage you output. It is especially good for SW as you have abilities that do Life Steal and if you go the Temptation Route you not only do damage but also are a healer for the group.
