Perhaps some kind of in-game Sword Coast Adventures, now that the gateway is gone?

Now, admittedly, I haven't played World of Warcraft in like... forever. But I do know they eventually got some kind of in-game....game, to play with their companions. I have no idea how it works exactly, but perhaps you could work something like that into NW? Not necessarily the exact same premise (I think it revolves around battling them like pokemon), but something we can do in-game with our companions, and be able to get the companion gear and other SCA-exclusive rewards? If it's an in-game thing, PS4 and Xbone don't have to miss out on it either.

    i was having the same thought only without the gate way the dice now seem obsolete, it would be nice for something like a send off on quests like the jobs but for companions maby?

    I used gateway mostly while I was away and unable to get into the game now with its demise it seems that they just handed the 'bot army' a free ticket to lag out the servers so those that are barely above lagging out now find that it is virtually impossible to even log in. This is the...gods know how many attempts..... to get rid of the bots and gold sellers but seems they refuse to listen to the majority of the community and just take things away that are not making them money so that all said I do not see them adding anything to replace gateway in the near future if at all though I think that is a very sad thought but seems to be the truth that I have noticed since started playing this game

    hopefully they could change Gateway for companions' quest just like STO's duty officer/ship (admirality) missions, for level ups, getting new gear upgrades for pets and would like to get some small amounts of companion upgrade tokens instead of those xp scrolls/books that we dont want and we are overflow with these.
