There is no other way to see this. 0ver 180 players all between the levels of 20 and 29, mostly 20 to 23, filled the Dom instances last night.
Guildless, basic random names, and basic camouflaged account names. This started during the Solo queue, but there were so many players entering that the bots were not as numerous.
I can see this as one drawback of not having Gateway... the botters are adapting. That may be so, but this way they are blatantly botting.

But yes you're right botting has always been a factor in low level PVP. Since the Gateway shutdown there has been an "uptick" let's call it. Shame, because I doubt that the devs will offer any solution other than taking away more from the already struggling PVP community.
BTW: they have a hilariously clunky suggested way of reporting bots in game. You're supposed to add them to your ignore list one by one so that you can get their @handles. Then you file a bug report with a title of botting, and list out all of the handles you ignored. I used to do this with node bots but you can do the same in PVP.
Eventually I got bored, reported all 9 accounts and capped the other two points.... Was an interesting time for sure.
