Mount options

I am looking for a mount with 2000 power. But I do not care for the blue guard drake with its ugly beaver tail. What do you think about customizing our mounts. I would love the Heavy howler,,rage drake with option to have 2000 power with it. Bring them awesome trade bar mounts into zen play. I want the heavy twilight nightmare

You can do this in the sense of having the power of one while riding another.
Granted did still have to buy both mounts.

For example, I went with the yowler for the crit, which NY mage actually rides while my rogue rides a shadow wolf.

And yeah, good luck with trade bar mounts being moved to zen.
Everything that's in there, like BIS binding companion fire archon, is there for a reason.
    So you'll buy keys.
  • wait explain this ,, I can have two mounts and get both equiped power while only riding one.? how?

    Not what I said.
You can only have one active equip power.
But it doesn't have to match the actual mount you are visually riding, same thing with speed.

Example above, my rogue visually rides a shadow wolf, at 110% speed, with the equip power of 2k crit from the heavy howler.

My dwarf GF rides the Lord's armored polar bear visually, but with the critical from the yowler.
  • ok so i need both,,, i ride the heavy howler , then how would i get the 2000 power from guard drake onto howler?
    be patient with me.
  • wait my friend i see ,,,,, where do we get combat power?
  • Combat powers come only from legendary mounts. They cannot be bought with the exception of silly amounts of AD on the market. Basically you need to buy lots of enchanted keys and hope for luck, or atm you can run artificers workshop.. but the percentages are very low at best.

On the mount page when you pick the mount you want to ride.
You also pick your powers, and speed.

    It's a mix and match.

It's doesn't matter much until you get a few mounts.
But it's nice to be able to change on the fly and ride a slow mount, like the shadow wolf, but at faster speeds.

And yeah, as answered, combat powers are at the moment, only from legendary mounts.

Which for the price of one of the legendary mounts from the auction house, you can get a full five count stable of epics and rares that are not only account wide, but often have very good Insignia bonuses.

Given the option, I'd rather have ALL my toons have a full stable, than one too having one awesome mount.

That said... That beholder power is pretty cool...
