Cloud Magic/Nimbus Tower Leap Up not working

Doing Cloud Magic quest in Nimbus Tower, activated the orbs and got the step to leap up to the next floor. Went to the marked spot on the floor in the middle room and jump, jump a bit higher and fall slow but never transition to the next floor like it is supposed to. Tried all different ways, watched a you tube walk through and did it exactly the same way, transition to next floor does not trigger like it does in the video. Stuck on the quest and thus the whole elemental evil quest line as the quest in in the main arc.

Hold down the jump button for a few seconds, It's not broken.

make sure you stand plumb center too

I try to jump an che center, but I was unable to go up to the second floor.
Any Help???

Status Update:
I was able to go to the second floor, just jump and hold the jump button (on PS4 the X key)

Just need to keep the jump key/button held until you transition.
