Elemental Artefact Weapons

My friend has picked up some artefact weapons through the Elemental Evil questline, but I haven't finished that questline yet but am instead doing the mote farming for an elemental artefact weapon.

Is there a difference between the two artefact weapons? Questline gained vs Mote farmed?

Appreciate any advice!

    The Drowned/Burning/Earthen/Air/Twisted are better than the Elemental Fire set.

    What do you want to do pvp or pve?

    PvE is my preference. I managed to get the Earthen Weapon and Sword Knot with my mote farming. Managed to level up the sword to epic so far. Way better than my old weapon.
