Advice requested for Element Artifact Choice Pack

As per the title.
My wife played one today on her main.
OP at 63.

Having my main just getting to 70 this past weekend, I'm not sure 100% what to advise.

The are selling for 650k ad on the trade right now with a Zax of high 170s on ps4.
I expect that to climb a bit tonight and maybe tomorrow before back down.

With 2x RP coming this week I expect the element packs to climb in value, maybe


Anyway, should she use or sell?
I understand you can easy get art weapons that are on our, and eventually better than what the exact offers.

Any advice from those of more experience would be appreciated

    Since the weapons start from the packs at epic quality, I'd advise using them if you need them. It sure beats farming motes ad nauseam to get the green quality and then have to farm the RP. The only things better in the game right now are the twisted set.

    Didn't catch they start at epic, vs the ones you earn start at uncommon.
    Thanks for that.

    She plays her OP as tank, and thus far it's her favorite toon.

    Any advice on which set if she opens it?
    I understand fire is for pve, water for pvp?

    Also, for the green artifacts, you eventually need coal wards to get them to epic correct?

    No you don't need coal wards to get them to epic, pres wards work fine

    Ah, OK.
    So coals are for higher level enchantments then?
    Sorry for my ignorance, still learning all the ins and outs of the system.

    Coal wards are for armor and weapon enchants - need 4 of the enchants and a coal ward (takes you from 1% chance to 100% chance but uses up the ward)

    That's what I thought. Like the one you get for free at 70.

    After reading what was posted here she's decided to wait until she gets to 70 and then decide.

    Coalescent wards guarantee an upgrade. For the record, the chances are as follows for upgrading your weapons:

    Green to blue: 90%
    Blue to purple: 50%
    Purple to orange: 10%

    It's possible to fail a 90% chance though (I have had this happen) so a preservation ward is recommended for blue and purple upgrades. You'll want to have more for upgrading to legendary (orange) so a coal ward is helpful but not absolutely required.

    As to which one, a lot of people prefer burning or drowned. There are a few that go for the earth set, hardly any go for the wind.

    Search Misc for Elemental or Artifact. There are 23 for sale right now.

    Here is my two cents. I would sell it. 650k is a nice amount to sit on. I just farmed my motes for a burning set. It's not as difficult as people think it is. 6 hours, 3 wands that are 20k each, farming 1 heroic encounter in fiery pit that is up 90% off the time and it's 8 easy mobs. Green to blue is about 10 blue resonance stones and some green marks. Blue to purple is a little bit more experience but not that hard to get either. I originally had the elemental evil weapons at Blue. This 2x refinement will allow me to put them in my burning to make a guaranteed purple. It will give 310k experience. We have another double refinement October 6th. This will give her 600k ad sitting in her bank and same weapons.

    Yeah, I know u can get them from auction house for an obsene amount of ad, but where do the people get them from originally before they put them on the auction house?

    A couple steps.
    You have to get an artifact box from a lock box opened with an enchanted key.
    And from that artifact box you have a small chance of getting the element selector box.

    So not really obscene.

    Between my wife and I, we have opened some 75 boxes or so, and this is the first one we've seen.

    And those keys, Fyi, with a coupon is 75 zen.
    Today's Zax makes that around 15k. Per try.

    Gratz on the draw. I have opened 80+ and finally got an epic chest. The worst one lol.

    keep it and than still the artifact quest for the four artifacts and refine those into your epic artifact.

    Use the quest ones as RP fodder?
    They give extra RP when used that way correct?

    From my experience blue elemental evil put into blue burning gives 155k experience. Mainland into mainhand
