Queations regarding the x2 Astral Diamonds event

There is always the possibility that I am mistaken, but the last x2 diamonds event I was able to replay skirmishes and the CTA event skirmish tons of times daily and gain diamonds easily. Now this "event" it seems they capped the amount of diamonds you can earn from each skirmish. Both today and yesterday, the first 3 tines playing the CTA event, I received about 5000 diamonds, then a measly 276 the next 9 times. Again today, same result, so tested on my roommates PS4, did the same thing and started only giving 276 after the third play through of the CTA. Next I tried another skirmish, Master of the Hunt, and the first time only got 600 diamonds. Am I mistaken, or is this event the complete opposite, or am I just farming wrong? Ill get way more diamonds playing skirmishes after this capped event. If you cap the things that give you diamonds, how am I actually earning twice as much? Not trying to complain, honestly, I'm just truly confused on how this is double diamonds if the queues are capped. If I'm wrong though, please correct me.

    Yea there is a daily cap per dungeon /skirmish, so you can't just spam the easy stuff over and over.

    Dungeons and skirmishes give bonus AD for the first two completed in a day.

    There has to be a cap or there would be hyper inflation

    I didn't even think about that, which makes total sense. That is the best way to prevent the exchange rate from sky rocketing. That said though, how is this event beneficial to the players who do way more than 2 or 3 skirmishes or dungeons a day? As far as I know, those are the only efficient ways to earn diamonds, and I can earn way more when they're not capped. Or is this just the way it is all the time now, or just for the event? If it's all the time, it's gonna take as long as it would in real life for me to save 2-5 million to buy an armored griffon. I'd rather spend that much time in real life earning my Corvette mount. That's just too grindy getting only 276 diamonds every 15-20 minutes. Again, sounds like I'm complaining, and I'm not. Just saying that dang, that is gonna take me a while.

    The rates are posted somewhere.
    But basically you get X Ad the first 2x each of dungeon, skirmish, and pvp on each TOON each day.
    Then it drops to roughly 10% of the first two runs.

    My first toon just hit 70 last night, so I'm not sure the rate for 70.
    But for 60-69 it's around 5k dungeon, 3k skirmish, and 4k pvp.
    So 2x each on a toon is around 24k in the 60s.
    If you have multi toons you can do this on each. Use the exchange to swap from toon to toon.

    Double those numbers this weekend.

    Honestly I'm glad they have this.
    I'm hoping we never get to Xbox or pc levels of Zax.

    It's in the 170s today.
    Last 2x ad it capped mid 180s before sliding back down to the mid 140s within 10 days or so.
    That said, the higher the Zax the better for cryptic as people are more Lilley to buy zen.
    So there is that.

    I'm hoping the highest we ever see is 200.

    One good thing of note, this helps handicap those villainous bots.

    Oh, and at 60+ you can do salvage for more ad.

    Frickin A man, thanks for breaking that down. Again, that all made total sense and I get why it is done the way it is now. I realized after I made that last post there is salvaging too like you said, which is actually a lot more efficient sometimes then doing queues when it comes to AD. I just gotta quit posting stuff before thinking it through completely like some arrogant a-hole. I know the WoD is a good place to farm for salvageable rings too cause people are always doing the DEs there in large numbers. Thanks again for breaking that all down. I appreciate it.

    While the 2x event is on, the bags of rough diamonds you can buy from the seal trader also yield double, so 500 seals gets you 1000 ad
