How are TR's pve wise?
I see a lot of stuff about Pvp for them, but not very much on pve. Is there a reason for that?
Are TR's up to par with other dps classes (equally geared)? I know it depends on the gear/build. But generally.
Also, are TR's wanted in groups? Do they bring anything beneficial for teams?
I have a bad reputation of choosing the class in games that is usually very underpowered. I'm not saying I just want whatever's best, I just don't want to spend hours on a class that is substatially less strong than other classes with the same gear.

Tr would be much more balanced if they gave them a few more seconds of stealth till it runs out lets say 9 sec to begin with.
They are still fun and viable in the right hands and great connection but all else being equal they are now weaker than the rest.
As always class balances usually go a little far the other way.
I recommend it, you will have fun.
If I have one other person with me - then I'm completely fine. It doesn't even matter if it's another TR, it's just that one other person to pull the 100% of aggro off of you long enough to do something.
Dungeons the TR is fine, because you have the other people with you.

You can go a couple different ways with a TR. I went with an executioner and love it. Shadow of demise is an awesome ability for pvp or pve content. Basically you hit an enemy while in stealth with an encounter and for the next 6 seconds it will tally all the damage you deal to the target. At the end of the 6 seconds the target takes half of the total damage dealt in one shot as piercing damage.
I have my self set up to be in stealth almost 100% of the time (1 sec here or there to re enter stealth) and can chain up to 2, sometimes 3 daily powers at once.
My only warning is you don't want to be hit. I generally don't have that issue because of stealth. Just saying the class is squishy.
I have a lvl 70 TR, 61 GWF and 60 HR, of them I like playing my TR the most and have made it my main as such.
Any questions please ask. Hope this helps.

The final ability in the executioner tree will allow you to build stealth 20% faster.
I have an ability that allows me to recharge stealth when I use a daily power.
My daily power can recharge instantly 25% of the time. Exception being shocking execution which will recharge instantly after use for me. But not the 2nd time in a row.
I have points in recovery that allows me to build my daily faster and will recharge my encounters faster.
I have an ability that will cut time off my encounter cool downs when entering stealth.
One of my encounters that I use gives me a free stealth bar.
So with a good rotation I can be in stealth using encounters and daily abilities indefinitely till the target dies.
Going pure damage with knives is not how to play a rogue, you are missing out on CA. Rogues are cunning and stealthly, going any other route IMO you hinder your class. I was hitting between 45-75K regularly at level 60 as a TR in EE.
In dungeons like ETOS EDEMO etc before I used be around 2nd to 4th pain giver in party.
After tweaking my build and following Sunny guide. I'm 95% 1st pain giver in dungeons by a huge margin. I'm talking 15 mill + and this is against some 3k+ gwf / sw / cw etc.
It's not always about ilvl but how you use your build. TR rocks in 1 vs 1 so use that to your advantage, go for the highest he mob and lay the smack down lol
