1. Picked up the training day quest~ Waited 2. Someone else picked up the quest right after me- Quest Failed. 3. The instance was mostly full of people- I tried on 5 different instances to do the quest.
The criteria for legitimate failure isn't clear. People interact with the NPC and I fail.
I did encounter enemies while doing the quest and did not fail at that point.
To Reproduce:
Pick up the quest- have others in the same instance pick up the quest (Potentially 10+ people with the quest at the same time might be criteria for failure) That many people in an instance is common for the area.

Its not if someone else interacts with the NPC, it's if anyone in the instance fails, then the whole instance fails.
We've maxed an instance with our guild and managed to do it, but its hard to get all alts through...
This is the best explanation we came up with as well.
Looks like all Trainee quest fail on one instance, if any Trainee on the instance fails.
We solved it like The Unholy Crusaders suggest, take over an instance, it is only 15 people that are needed (20 people hard cap). Then you have a controlled enviroment, just one after another, and go.
If you do not have enough people, I had success with "coordinated runs". Meaning, get enough people on one instance, that are willing to listen, and get rid of all "faild attempts", then together, get to the tent and pick up a trainee and together run like hell through the three circles.
The idea here is, as everyone is togther, no single Trainee should fail.
As always, run as fast as you can, 140% mount, guild boon, etc, to minimise the time needed, so minimise the risk of someone else failing for you.
