Initial testing on the Caer Konig single test dummy shows my Archer blowing my Combat HR out of the water, both with Rapid Shot and Aimed Shot as main at-wills. I am pleasantly surprised with the Aimed Shot results. From the two 5-min tests I ran, Aimed Shot (28 million) one did 5 million more damage than that of Rapid Shot (23 million), while Combat only pulled 10 million. However, Thorn Strike is doing very good damage and seems to be our second-highest behind plant growth - between 30-50k damage.

    Well I would assume so, seeing that archery is glass cannon with no defensive capabilities like combat/trapper.

    I get 40-45% more damage from aimed shot compared to rapid shot in the same amount of time now. Having trouble getting used to it, still gets interrupted and the slowness screws up my flow, but I'll keep at it.

    thorus009, check the stormwarden archer discussion thread in this subforum. it's a bit old now, but lots of archers chimed in. newest builds are still being worked out in light of the rebalancing, I'd wait a bit for the dust to settle.

    i still can't solo 10 man HE's in the stronghold, glass cannon is right. that's ok, so long as the dps is good, I'm good. we will see...

    Archery was fantastic on preview in, say, eDemo or a demonic HE.

    Try to solo IWD or the new Storm King campaign and you spend half your time running around.
    In the end, I had to use a tank pet like Yeti over a striker.

    I'll probably do that for BS questing as I used a tank companion before Bondings become seriously OP. I don't try to solo HE on my Archer but didn't generally have any problems with normal mobs - yeah you have to dance about a bit but that's okay too as long as they die and you don't.

    I echo what @troutslayer#3410 said, using encounters during Aimed Shot is still a bit clunky but man, the damage is A.Ma.Zing.
