Ignore List Bug

Alright here is the problem.
I get very tired of the 3rd party AD chat spammers. There are so many of them now and they spam so much that you can't even see what actual people are posting in trade chat anymore. I interact with the persons name in trade chat and then Report Offensive Player for Chat Spam. After the ticket is created the gamertag is added to my ignore list and I no longer see that name in trade chat. The problem, is that after a short amount of time passes that same gamertag with the same character name is showing up again in trade chat for me. It's like they some how got off of my ignore list. I believe this is bug in the game. Once a gamertag gets put on my ignore list then they should not be able to get off unless I private message them. Please look into this. It is annoying enough to have to deal with these 3rd party AD chat spammers, add in them getting off the ignore list and the timer in between when you can submit a player report and it becomes ridiculous to deal with. If you need it I have screenshots of this showing a 3rd party AD chat spammer in trade chat with my ignore list notification right after their post and then another screenshot 16 minutes later showing the same name and gamertag spamming trade chat again. If you need any other info, please let me know. I really want this fixed!

Log out or quit out completely, then come back in. FYI, your efforts are futile bc there are so many of them, & they have so many different accounts, you'll be seeing them until you completely quit the game forever. They've been on PC since release, XB1 since release, & now PS4 since release. Just have to get used to seeing them, & ignore it. I gave up a long time ago reporting these scammers, & have gotten used to seeing it, & don't even pay attention to them anymore

I get what you're saying, thanks for the reply. I really don't mind taking the time to report them and get them on my ignore list so I can actually see the real trade chat but the problem is they some how get off my ignore list and show up in chat again. This is a bug. Include that with the 1 minute timer in between being able to report players and it becomes a pain. The bug needs to be addressed. There are like 3-5 sites posting in trade chat now on xbox and if you don't submit a report and get them on the ignore list then all you can see is their posts, page after page after page... Please fix the bug so once a player is put on my ignore list then they can't get off of it! and reduce or, preferably, remove the timer between submitting reports. This would solve the problem and make it all easier to deal with.

Does blocking them through the live interface work? It might be worth reporting them that way as well.

Blocking them through Xbox live doesn't work. The only thing that gets them off of trade chat is by submitting a player report and then they get put on your "ignore" list. Then you see them in chat again shortly after that.

If they are magically showing back up after being ignored, then yes, its a bug. Like I said, I haven't reported any scammer in so many months, I couldn't tell u how long its been. I know what I originally said worked at 1 pt, but we both know the chances this gets fixed are outrageously slim

There's no point in blocking or reporting, I turned off the trade channel a long time ago.

I've noticed the same problem myself. You can report/block the same person over and over only to see their postings reappear again afterwards. So now I just report once and be done with it. If anyone was looking at block/submission reports, you'd think that seeing the same person being reported multiple times by one person, they would realize the block feature is no longer working as when it first debuted.

Thank you for all the replies! They are "magically" showing back up after being ignored! It's a bug. Keep the thread alive so it gets noticed. I'm so tired of submitting player reports for chat spam on the same name 10+ times a day just to be able to see trade chat! Not to mention there's about 6 posting for 3-5 3rd party sites at any given time. Can't even see real trades because of them!

Easiest fix, since PW/Cryptic/Arc can't stop it, is to just turn off Trade Channel. I did this when that spam first started, and I have never looked back.

yeah but then you miss out on good trades that comes across the trade channel from time to time. Bug needs to be addressed, simple as that.

Thanks falkenblackhand. It really does need to be fixed. I've only been on for a few hours and have submitted reports on the same two names 5+ times each now.

What you are not understanding is that this has been happening since MOD5. There is nothing they can do, they can ban those particular people, but 10 more show up the next day. It is useless to complain about it and submit tickets when, once again, there is NOTHING they can do.

What you are not understanding is if all I have to do is submit a report on a few different names just once in a day then it will be a huge improvement. submitting a report on the same name 5+ in less than 3 hours is ridiculous. The names getting off of the ignore list is a BUG and it needs to be fixed. I am not asking for the 3rd party problem to be fixed in its entirety. I am asking for the ignore list bug to be fixed. The 3rd party sites will, probably, always be a problem. I am just asking for the games current workaround the annoyance to fixed because it is bugged!

do you guys notice? starting from this week all the 3rd Party AD seller name is no more actual names like before? they are now going by codes or something (a1ab10, g3fju3)

They use pretty random names. Look at some of the gamertags they create, completely random. Wish a dev or someone would comment on this!
