GWF or DC?

Hello Everyone :-)

I have a Hunter Ranger and I recently got to level 70.
I really enjoy to play in parties but when it comes to play solo, it gets rough!
Especially in high level contents. HR ir really squishy!

Then I see othe classes like GWF or DC just jumpin in the middle of a group of 5 / 6 mobs without a scratch.

Now, I would like to start a new class to compensate my frustration for the HR,
I'm torn between the GWF and the DC.

I can see that DC is very solid but quite low on damage, while GWF can deal good amount of dmg and be very tanky at the same time...

Any tips?

DC as there is a lack of healers in game. There are plenty of DPS running around. Though most have no clue how to be an efficient DPS.

Divine clerics are some of the most fun character types.
I'm sure they are the best in their field.
and they usually get snatched up pretty quickly.

But I warn you, this "candy" is not cheap.
    Rimuru?

have you read any good guides on HR? I play a TR, and of coarse not as tough as a gwf, but if speced right can stay alive. I come out of a dungeon as top dps, and lowest damage taken all the time.
Many players take all the damage feats and no defensive, while some of the damage feats may be not worth it.
Get your hit points and deflect up. Aoe resists.. etc.. L3 is your friend.

Since I rarely see tanks that know how to tank and I heal, Anointed Armor has been a blessing to me. Going into end game dungeons with 38 AC, DR around 45% and a deflection that is fairly high has helped me out quite a bit. It has also been a blessing when running solo content as I rarely take damage.

    This.

If you look in LFG on PC most of the chat is "LF2M CN GF+DC".

DCs are really effective at lower ilvls too. Even in super overgeared (3.5k+) parties I frequently end up having to invite someone's 2.5k DC alt because we can't find one and ilvl doesn't matter as much for DCs because aside from BoB and WoL their buffs/debuffs aren't affected by stats.

    Sorry I forgot...
I have a couple of questions regarding the Paragon Path...
If I understood correctly, Devotion is more focused on healing and Protection is more focused on tanking.
Is Devotion still a good tank and Protection still a good healer?
    What path do you recommend?

Choose a paragon path based on your playing style.

    as for build, try this.

Is Gwf a decent tank for endgame?

If you play DC paragon path is Anointed Champion.

Both paths can produce similar healing but one thing that has helped me beat an epic broken dungeon is the Anointed Army daily. That allowed my group to absorb the damage and we beat it. The group was like OMG firs time I beat this without using a reviving scroll. LOL....

If you need info on how to create a build go to the DC section. There are a few good one there and most state AC is the better build for creating a multi purpose DC.

The other paragon path is definitely a DPS path more than a leader path.

Well you said you're going DC and then you talk about Paladin lol.

Jarek's build is for endgame DCs in parties that don't need a lot of healing though. Depending on who you run with you might want to go faithful.
