    Try these:
Run a chkdsk - you would be surprised how many errors lurk in the file system. Do the simple chkdsk first. Be aware the full chkdsk (/r option) should not be run on an SSD. The full chkdsk will take about 2 - 4 hours - overnight is best!
    howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/guide-to-using-check-disk-in-windows-vista/

After doing the chkdsk (and you are still having problems), try adjusting the program level security settings for Neverwinter. Neverwinter is usually installed in the Program Files [C:\Program Files (x86)\Neverwinter_en] area - Windows permissions could be the cause of your problems. Right-click on the folder and click on 'Properties' - go to the Security tab and click on the 'Edit' button - Click the 'Add' button, type in "everyone" (no quotes), then click the 'Check Names' button, then 'OK'. Now tick the "Full control" box in the Allow column, then OK (twice).

If you still have problems, try launching Neverwinter.exe directly from your Neverwinter_en folder, and if still crashing, try with right-clicking on Neverwinter.exe and "Run as administrator".

Lastly, load Arc and uninstall the game there by selecting the cube of squares on the bottom of the left list (under CHARGE), then right clicking on Neverwinter in the main window and select uninstall to remove it. Then go the Games section to re-install it.

If still crashing, let us know, but also let us know if you are running Win10, 7, etc. If one of these works, let us know, thanks.

I have the same errors in my ERRORS.txt file in the Neverwinter directory, so unlikely to be that - but it could be your antivirus - mine (Kaspersky) sees the launcher as a threat, and shows a block on it, but it still launches, and I can start the game fine.

Have you tried temporarily stopping or pausing your Antivirus?
Each Antivirus is different, but if you see the small icon near the date/time of your system (you may have to click the up arrow to see it), you should be able to then right-click on the icon for your antivirus, and choose the pause/disable/exit, or something similar. Many will ask for 'how long' to do this - as you are testing, 5 - 10 min is fine. If it works with the antivirus disabled or paused, contact the vendor to have Neverwinter added to the safe list. If you cannot pause your protection, you will need to contact the supplier to learn how to do this for your product. CAUTION while you have paused or disabled your protection, you should NOT browse the web or open emails!

    Hello @iokua18,

Personally, since I don't use Arc and have found it has a memory leak issue, I have stuck to keeping a copy of Neverwinter Client Installer from when it first went live 3 years back, which will update after update upon installation, on my Google Drive.

I would offer you the client, but it causes a whole redownload of the game, that is your choice if you wish a copy.

Anyway @kailov had in his first post put down what I would have recommended doing, also Chkdsk isn't really needed for Win10, more so you would be recommended by even Microsoft on their support Forums to do a Command Prompt in Administrator Mode, (Type CMD.exe in Contana and Command Prompt comes up, right click it and chose "Run as Administartor") . The Black Box comes up with Command Line - Type SFC /scannow and let it hopefully perform some magic.

To understand a little clearer than my brief decription above, follow along with this link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2895-sfc-command-run-windows-10-a.html

This is a more viable tool to be used on Win7+ systems than Chkdsk. Though Chkdsk is still usable. If issues continues or is resolved please let us know what may have worked.

    Thanks

Well, I am running out of ideas of things to try, sorry. Have you logged a ticket of the problem in the ARC portal? The crash ticket is not actually telling them to assist you, just advising them there is a problem - you need to raise an actual support ticket to get action on it.

Crash of the game launcher usually means something is stopping it (killing the process), or a fault with a needed bit of code. The fact that you do not have problems with the other game launchers negates the second one, and stopping your anti-virus should have negated the first one. Uninstalling and re-installing should have fixed any file issues...

    Two last things to try:
    1. Uninstall the game again, except go into the Neverwinter directory and delete all files and folders - leave nothing behind! Re-install, and see if that fixes it.
    2. Click the start and type in "msconfig" (no quotes) and hit enter - a system configuration window will open. Click on the Services tab, and tick the box 'Hide All Microsoft services', then tick the 'Disable all' button. Then click on the Startup tab and click the 'Disable all' button there as well. Hit OK, and restart your system.
If that works, a service or startup item is causing the problem - you will have to fire up msconfig and select one or two items to 'turn back on' (placing a tick next to it means it will run - no tick, not started), working your way through the list until you find the culprit. I would first try turning all of the Startup tab back on first, before working your way through the Services. When finished (to go back to normal), on the first tab (General), just tick the Normal startup.
I hope one of those works, otherwise it will have to be Cryptic support that work with you on this one...
