So the title says it all, i pugged Castle Never and ended up with a group that dished out such high amount of dps that Orcus was killed in 1 or maybe 2 seconds. The whole run was actually like that.
Was it legit damage or what was it? If yes then there is seriously something wrong with the game at the moment.
The group consisted out of cw,sw,dc,gf and me a gwf. With buffs/debuffs from gf and dc you can do a lot more damage i know, but melting Orcus in 1 second? Is there something i don't know about in this game?
If you have a team with certain classes and their combination of powers, and you are fully geared out with itemlevel 4.2k, are you able to push out this dps so you can kill Orcus in 1 second?
What's the fun and challenge in doing so anyways?
How boring is it that you literally kill stuff so fast they didn't even had the chance to move?

In your case it was probably SW who did it, but it is doable by any team of GF/DC+3xDPS 3k+ who knows how to use their class.
Anyway this SW "ability" will probably go out in just 3 days (mod 10)
If this will be history in mod 10 you say it's still possible to kill Orcus in 1 or 2 seconds?
And most players have no problem with this?
I mean i can remember this big discussion about the pally's bubble being to overpowered and the game not challenging anymore, but isn't this the same? Maybe it's time for t3 or maybe even t4 dungeons, we are missing so many already? Then these people can have a challenge too. I dunno maybe i'm just a different player.
What's the use in nerfing the bubble, fixing the lostmauth's set, fixing the scourge and all that if you still can melt Orcus in a few seconds?
You're really out of the loop; they're introducing the first T3 dungeon in mod 10. Virtually everything that lets parties melt bosses that fast is getting nerfed or fixed. If they left lolset and bubble un-nerfed there would be no point in the fixes/nerfs they're doing in mod 10. Most of these nerfs/fixes took so long because they came with the balance passes on HR, SW and GF. Not to say that overgeared parties won't continue to melt bosses. There are still a lot of things that need to be addressed before we get to that point.
Anyway. I think you are forgetting something - dungeons are supposed to be playable by 2k+ IL players. 4K IL player does ~ 10x more damage that 2k IL player (if they both know what they are doing).
Diminished Returns or a hard cap on stats would solve this problem entirely.
