Hey guys, as a GWF who csnt quite afford greater bonding stones should I run a augment companion or a bonded companion? I can't afford greater bonding stones burning can probably afford regular ones.
While you cannot benefit from the Companions Gift power of Bonding stones, if you are using those slots to buff Power or Defense, they are still BiS for augments in those specific stats. If you're looking to buff another stat, this is not the case, but for example, they are significantly better than Empowered Runestones with regard to the Power bonus in Offensive slots.
So, even if you don't use a combat pet, if you want Power/Defense boosts from the rune slots, they are STILL the best you can get.
Okay gotcha. I have a fire archon with 3 bonding stones currently.
You only get the bonuses from your other companions such as "2% combat advantage" correct? Like you don't get the benefit of jewelry or enchants from your inactive companions

35* 3 = 105% is better then a normal blue runestone at 100% . Legendary augments will be slightly better though.
However if you already had augments on hand, I would wait until you can afford a set of greaters maybe. Not MUCH difference between the two.
But once you can afford 1 greater and two normals or combinations of that , then bondings will be superior all the time.
If you dont have either atm.. SAVE up for bondings instead.
