(PS4) Account Server Connection Could Not be Started

So I downloaded the game 2 weeks ago, gone from 1 to 69 (30 on another char) and converted a couple of friends to play the game. Was actually looking forward to activating VIP and spending loads of time in a game I thought was incredible.
Right now, I launch the game, it shows the logo, loading... then nothing... just "Account Server Connection Could Not Be Started". So naturally I restart the router, the PS4, close application a couple of times, but to no avail. I can not even get to the login screen.
Going into live chat with support, I'm told, WiFi connections can not handle MMORPGs...
Now someone please explain to me why for 2 weeks I have no issues whatsoever, why for the better part of 6 years I play MMO's without a hitch (minus the occasional lag) and it suddenly is the wifi's fault????
I don't want to give up on the game just yet. But blaming the wifi seems a bit far fetched when no other game... or should I say MMORPG has given me such issues. I can understand not being able to connect to a specific shard... but not even loading the primary screen, the one with "Play"??
Any further help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have 6 months of paid vip and i can't play
I'm trying to play the NW in my PS4, but soon after the choice of the character it crashes.
What could be happening? It has four days that I can not play
