The trouble with that is that over a period of months these things change quite a lot. For tanks, GF is generally more popular than OP, for healer you should go healadin but for DC you're better with a debuff build.

Groups always need tanks for T2 content - every run will include one - so your choice is GF or OP. Until the OP threat gen is addressed, the GF will be the most popular.

So if I want to be unusually unique as a tank go with OP As a dps go with HR or SW
Thanks!! I'll read up on them to see. Normally a tank in MMos so unsure if I'll do the same again or actually dip my toes into the dps pool after 13 years being a tank haha
If you play neverwinter with friends, or migrated to the game together. I recommend you guys pick the roles you'd want to play. At the end of the day, it's what's fun and what's needed. If your friends don't want to heal or tank, you could always build a DC or OP. For me, I went Hunter Ranger because it fits my in and out play style. I didn't learn until after playing with them that they can perma stun.

I'm new as of less than a week ago, but having fun rolling a DC healer as I level, seems to do decent aoe dps while out questing and keeps groups alive no probs.
Still learning to manage divinity but getting better the more I do it, I can regularly be 2nd for dps while doing most of the healing. Obviously that's running with randoms and being a new game most players including myself are a long way from mastering their class/role so things will probably change at end game.
Not seeing a huge amount of DC's either, I seem to run into lots of GWF and HR plus people with shields (still too new to tell the difference between tanks lol).
