Castle Never Melt

garlaanxgarlaanx Member Posts: 116 Arc User
Just your normal general generic Castle Never Meltfest. Nothing new, but just wanted to share a decent speed run. I've done faster, but this was still a good run over all. I really hope Mod 10 brings something more challenging into the game. The class balances will take a big hit, but that shouldn't mean the dungeons get skimmed over. Nerfing players doesn't make the Dungeons harder. Dungeons being designed right make them harder. Enjoy the video =)

*Edit* Its been brought to my attention that this post seems like I'm whining about the upcoming class balance changes to the Warlock. No, that isn't the case in the slightest. The Warlock has been a bugged class for ages. The KF/MF needed adjusted big time.. As well as the Puppet damage. I'm not hating on those changes at all. However, I was more referring to the lines of the other class balances. Just to clarify of course..

Well remember its not because YOU can breeze a dungeon everybody can. There some stuff in the game wich is very hard for the majority of us common folks.

Puppet is getting fixed next mod, then you will actually have to put effort into playing SW :p

I'm gonna say 70% of the population on Xbox is 3k+ by now. They are a few people that just join the game, but heck.. most of the people that are under 3k are alts.

Meh, I've already seen some early test server footage on the Warlock. The class balances don't seem too bad honestly. CN runs might take a wee bit longer... but still going to put out some hard DPS.

I stopped watching when I saw its another of those hey!!! I have a soul puppet that does 90% of dps for me look how awsome is mah build >.< obviously it's totally impossible that anybody previously already knew that right...
Sound a bit angry. The video was just for entertainment purposes and showing a quick run through. I wasn't gloating at all.

Yes, you have seen test footage of a fury lock in a party with me where I was testing various party compositions. The key word there is fury, there was no puppet (or murderous flames for that matter) involved. As for CN, something you may not be aware of is you do 25% less damage innately inside the dungeon than in any other content, so the boss fights will take a bit longer. Unfortunately, CN does not exist on preview atm otherwise we would have used that as our test and not eGWD. Another thing to note is in the group we were testing with on preview, we had 2 out of the 4 mod 5 sets in the party and as far as I can tell you are using none, so it should give you some idea of the changes.

Hmmm, I did happen to notice Fernu's videos if that's what you're talking about. However, that's not what I was talking about. Also, he still ending up doing over 130mil Damage. I'm not seeing any issues here as far as DPS goes yet. When Mod 10 comes, there will be loads of testing.. And we'll just see what happens ^_^

Reconsider when you ask for dungeon difficulty, when there would be no bonding runestones giving you 285% statistics which can overal get later buffed and the higher rating, the more effective is the buff and no pre module 6 gear available. Would you be still saying that this is too easy? I think not.
    @etelgrin I would :p

SW is still in a good spot yeah, but the fact that he ends up doing 130M damage in a party composed of 4 buffers and 1 dps is like saying he came first in a 1 man race.

Thanks for the video Garlaanx. I'm not bothered by all the arguments about nerfs & stuff, I would disagree about the 70% of players being over 3k. It does seem that way for anyone who's a member of an established guild but there are many many players on their first or second character who are nowhere near 3k yet - and a lot of mid-geared players too. I'd say that together, they make up well over 50% of the player base. Try pugging and you'll find no shortage of them - or have an alt do a tour of the lesser known guilds

^This.......Great Vid and glad you're having fun. After all it is a game and it's meant to be enjoyed as such. Ug...no more nerfs. Sw is fine, gwf I have no issue with, HR I know one named Vendetta that is an absolute beast ok with them (would love to see archery get some love). Dc's I have an issue with....they are so Op, all that buffing, debuffing, hasting, healing, and instant queues (totally kidding). Nothing like a 36 year old male complaining about a video game.

    Tc and good day.

Thanks You, and I was just estimating.. I don't really know any factual numbers. I don't pug much anymore due to never getting a que with 100% pre made groups. But you are right I'm sure. Lot's of sub 3k Players around still.

Thank You.. Yea.. just wanted to put a CN vid up since I hadn't done one since the launch of Mod 9... Gotta love all the attacks though due to just being a SW.. Oh, and my old lady plays a DC.. She's way to over powered.. needs super nerf =)

Good video dude. I don't think people were necessarily hating , more pointing out changes that will be coming to the lock.

Yah...fernu is also one of the best locks on pc. Many many MANY warlocks will be basically starting over, as in like mod 6 just started but the puppet doesnt do massive damage anymore. Compared to gwf and good hr, warlocks will more than likely be sub par dps. We need some major buffs to dps as well as the survivability buffs there giving us.

On a happier note, i wont have to listen to puppet locks say how awesome they are amd that the puppet doesnt do most of my damage...fn nubs.

Actually, Fury seems to do fine as DPS, the changes to creeping death made up for the loss of murderous flames.

Yup, and most likely Mod 10 everyone will be Fury. I will test every single aspect that I can.. I hope to stay Damnation.. but I just don't think it will compete with Fury at all after the changes.
