Thought I`d dabble in PvP now the changes have happened

Hmmmm ok 1st game was fairly close... 2nd game 19 kills 4 deaths... then 3rd game (these are all PUG's mind you) my PUG group was 2 HR, 2 TR and a CW

Vs... oh yes you guessed it LGPG A team... Las Vegas and co lol...

Seriously Cryptic sort your match making out... it could not have been fun for them either just stomping... I mean almost everything was a 1 shot against my fellow randoms and I did not last much longer than them.

lol... gotta love the RNG in this game including the match ups.

Few more PUG games later and I`m just going to stick to PvE I think... it just annoys the heck out of me even after these changes... In fact since the changes I actually feel weaker in PvP lol.

I felt like some of the games were just totally pointless and not even worth my time so nothing has really changed for me with regards to this side of the game.

Really annoying as I really want to like PvP and get in to it.

If your trying to PVP with PVE enchants and PVE spec even gear won't do you much good.

I think its worse to be dropped into a 800-0 losing game vs my own guild but eh, thats PvP.

Sums it up right here. I won't step foot in PVP much anymore since I don't have time to support 2 sets of gear and enchants. Without PVP gear you're just going to die very quickly and many times while watching your opponent literally stand there and not even attack.

If you're lucky the better team might let you cap...but people don't seem to care much for letting you cap anymore.

Oh no it is not this, I know what I am doing I have a completely different set up for PvP than I do PvP. My PvP gear is 3.2k IL whilst my PvE stuff is 3.4k so only a little more.

My Arm Pen is 100% in PvP... HP 155k etc etc... I have waaaaaaay more kills than deaths over all.

I PUG a lot as I like Randoms lol, but games like I described above where the other team have 2 Tanks and a DC... then 2 top IL DPS characters VS a PUG of 2 HR, 2 TR and a CW. It just is not fun for either team.

It is just stupid that there is no mechanism in the game where a teams Combined IL is not taken into account. They should be matched at least against a team within a combined IL within a certain range. Or at least a damn mechanism to say hey 1 team has a Tank and DC so the other team should have them as well.

I have had some really really good games where the teams were evenly matched... but these games I could number on 1 hand really. I could go in with Pre-Mades all the time but that just isn`t fun either as I know what it is like if I was on the PUG team and the teams are not evenly matched etc.

I normally can't tell if I'm fighting LGPG members... They are always invisible. Zing!

You probably got caught with a group of under geared people 3 Qing. You hit an occasional premade in a solo q. Better off with a duo or trio minimum so you have less questionable people running dusk and green pants

It was just an awful experience in PUG's... just the same as before the Nerfs for me. The group compositions when running with randoms was just a joke

Wish my experience had of been better. I`ll probably need to get my IL up more as I only have 3.4k in PvE and 3.2k in PvP.

I really hope they fix the queues to allow solo queuing and also some kind of Item Level bands or something. Also to force the teams to have similar compositions.

Don't get me wrong I did really enjoy some of the PvP but in its current state it is way to frustrating to bother with

Well if there was a more realistic method of getting Lionsmane so one could level the playing field that would help Stronghold siege is a joke and has been for ages maybe they will effect a different mechanism for getting it.

lol you have completely missed the point... I have all my Lionsmane Gear at Elemental, I have Trans Elven and Trans Fey, Rank 10 Enchants etc etc etc. I know how Dom works, I have won lots of games as well as loosing over my time in PvP.

My issue is the match making and group compositions when queuing in PUG's. As someone mentioned above it is actually pretty pointless these days... 8 times out of 10 you will just get stomped on due to horrible imbalance.

Look at my example above, I in no way mean anything bad to LGPG... They were put into the game against a PUG, which I happened to be in. Their team of a Pally, GF, DC and 2 DPS all of whom all I imagine were BiS (as it had a few big names in the team)... The crappy matchmaking game matched them against 2 HR, 2 TR and a CW.

Just the GF alone in the enemy team alone just 1 shotted everyone, every single time just by farting in our general direction.

You misunderstood my point put a group together of people that understand Dom that are good players and equally geared. Then you point will be mute and invalid or keep pugging and getting your ssss packed.

I have a PVE toon and don't really want to redo it to pure PvP so I just stay out of there usually. I find that going with a pick up group is the only way to have a chance of not being lined up against a premade, it seems if I try to queue with a group to 'have some fun' it most certainly is not fun

aaaand this is why I haven't pvp'd since Christmas & have no intention of ever doing it again - despite the fact I used to do it for 2 hours a day.

Don't be discouraged, keep going, Neverwinter needs more PvPers. We all started out in levelling gear and got our backsides handed to us on the way up the ranks. You were fighting Andrew Las Vegas (GF), Vex (TR), Flipmo (HR), Killswitch (DC) and myself, Grandpappy (OP). All 4.2+k iL and self proclaimed static LGPG A-squad! We never go looking for PuG's to stomp, we were hunting other premades. Unfortunately the matchmaking is bad and nobody can help it when it goes wrong. We triple cap and get it over with asap unless someone asks for rewards. Its no fun for anybody.

Oh I know dude, I was not having a go at LGPG I have many friends within your Guild. I know exactly who I was paired up against ha ha and you named them pretty much all lol

What I was trying to get at was your super team was matched against my PUG.... My PUG had no DC and no GF or Pally. It was just as pointless for you guys as it was for the PUG.

But what I mean is this happens so often (like 90%) of games or whatever. I would love to play more PvP but it just is not fun either being on the receiving end of a PUG bashing or being the one who bashes on the PUG.

As I said it is not your fault or any of the players fault... it is the really HAMSTER matchmaking system

Unfortunately this is the case due to the new matchmaking system which seems to prefer not matching you against other 5 mans, even when you queue at the same time. I suspect it might have something to do with them speeding up queue times so it just prefers whoever has been in queue longest rather than some other sinister scheme to drive people away from pvp. Hopefully there will be some patch to address this in the future.

In the mean time though I wouldn't just give up on pvp. As with any game type your mileage will vary based on how frustrated you allow it to make you.
