Fashion Items

Another suggestion, it would be nice if you could pick the gender of your fashion items. There are some items (Jester outfit, for example) that I would much rather my character wear the "male" version of over the hyper-sexualized female version.

Yes, that means some male characters would wear dresses and such, but is that really a problem? :)

It would be mostly the Dwarves wearing the dresses and the Courtasen outfit. :#

Then they should probably add some Peril-Sensitive Sunglasses to the Tradebar Store as well! B)

Though I think that the Jester outfit is way more revealing vs the Courtesan outfit!

I like this idea, even though on Xbox, my GWF wears the Jester top, lol. With the wedding bottoms.
My opinions are my own. I do not work for PWE or Cryptic. - Forum Rules - Protector's Enclave Discord - I play on Xbox

I suppose the easiest way to do it would be to simply gender the current fashion items, so sell the male and female versions separately. This could also lead to mix-and-match situations, like the male jester bottoms with the female top, and other such possibilities.

In the end, I think it could only serve to help bolster fashion item sales and give us all a lot more options for our fashion choices... well perhaps the females more than the males! ;)

EDIT: Or perhaps just add a dropdown or radio buttons on the fashion screen to choose which gender model to use on a per-piece basis since the fashion screen is already pretty empty.

What a great idea! I would love to be able to mix and match pieces from the opposite gender's sets.

    + 100000

    Brilliant idea!
To tell the truth the Jester top makes me cringe.
I would rather wear male version for it.

Love it and yes, I'm saddened of the lack of non sexualized stuff for females and the lack of them for males. I tried to make one of my toons in to an old witch type of character. It's impossible. Can't make them look that old, not make their bodies seem old not make the hair a realistic grey in a hairdo that is fitting. Nor can the witch hat (Hat of the Arcane Wanderer) be used together with your fashion outfit. Even though it would be perfect for that. As none of the armor in game looks like something an old witch would wear. I also need a flying broom mount and a black cat and a green and warty skin enchantment. The broom can function like the flying disc except the mounting would be sitting and not standing.

But then I would like an option for everyone to hide the mudflaps/loincloths parts on all items in the game. In case I don't like to have a half skirt half pants situation going on and just have the pants.

Maybe in the future they will add such a mount... or maybe you can go steal one from another game that has one and bring it over to the Realms? ;)

I think it would also be nice if they had an option to let you convert a piece of armor to a fashion item. Perhaps create something like DDO has, the Mirror of Glamering. Except here it would create a fashion item from a normal armor item, and doesn't destroy the original item in the process... you know, because it's a mirror! ;)

OMG, yes, I would love the ability to disable the tabard (mudflaps LOL/loincloths) part of the armor, that would be such a great change. On some pieces I really like it, but on others I would love to remove it... great idea! +1 :D
