Builds are now based on luck...

This is just an observation and someone else might have already said it. Prior to the legendary rings builds could be achieved by purchasing or making what you needed. With the addition of insignias, which 90% are character bound and the legendary rings, 100% character bound, your build is no longer a well planed out design and rather a stroke of luck.

I've gotten lucky with a few rings so I'm not here crying about not having legendary rings. This is merely an observation. But I do understand that if more things like this start popping up the game might lose some of it luster.

    The rings shouldn't make or break your build. Builds are still viable without them. You can buy the insignia's.

    Wait a second, this game had luster? Maybe before coalecent wards were <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> from the market I'd say it had more of an doable upside but I can't categorize anything I've experienced over the last year as lustrous.

    Very true, I'm not even sure why I still play and try not to think about it since it might make me quit lol. I don't know how they really think they are going to be successful with PS4 dropping them straight into the current mod. The best mod was 5 and without that initial awesomeness to hook them ps4 NWO is destined to fail.

    It won't fail just as it hasn't failed here in spite of all the things the user base has complained about since launch date. No matter how many fiascos occur, people continue to spend money on this game; and I'm sure the same will happen on PS4.

    Idk man, we had 1 campaign, so less dailies.

    We had more dungeons, more unbound items to sell for ad.

    Less 1 shot mechanics.

    Less stuff to refine.

    Co-ward still in trade bar store.

    Leadership still had ad.

    Dragon hoards no cooldown, spell plague :)

    No guilds with buyins and drama.

    Im sure there is more.Overall the beggining was much more fun.

    Less 1 shot mechanics? I'd like to introduce you to any TR with a plaguefire back in mod5 who would casually walk up to you and hit you with a lashing blade for 30k, then SoD would proc a few sec later hitting you for another 30k and you fall over. If you're referring to PvE, SoD worked just the same there for preflighting elol etc.

    Rp was also porportionate to what was available. Boxs dropped r6s and r7s so you had to struggle to make a rank10 and gmops had the same value as smops do now so your rank 12 enchants now cost about as much as a rank10 used to.

    And the real nail in the mod4/5 coffin was the lag everyone experienced, nomatter what the content was. Thats what drove off a good grip of the early players and the tried ESO, got bored and now they play divison or whatever.

    Neverwinter is steadily improving and for its first year in xbox, I'd say the game has made great improvements, but lacks mainly in the content department and adjusting the powercreep every mod brings.

    +1 ^this indy hit the nail right on the head with the above statement, I do however feel sorry for PS players as they will never have high vizier, knights captain or high prophet, and they will not be able to unlock dungeon master or many other titles that are now even unattainable on Xbox and they will not be able to enjoy the greatest dungeon ever the original castle never.....

    I meant enemies with one shot mechanics, not double shadow demise proc TR, and I meant less refinement as in there was only artifact belts, now we have main hand, off hand, neck + the belt and an extra artifact.

    I do remember the lag, lol, had to q from the trade of blades or companion shop.

    yeah legendary is unnecessary.. nice.. but the 2 slot purple does the same basic job.

    Lol, the game is steadily improving? Definitely not the pvp side of things. With every new mod, pvp is getting more unbalanced and unplayable

    The rings are an ok bonus but not the main part of a build. Also if you run the missions enough you may not get a lot of +5 but should get plenty of +4s. I have 8 toons all with either the best jewelcrafting rings or +4s. I have 2 +5s on my PVP toon but they are my only +5s.

    Its not like the rings add heaps of stats and 100 IL.

    Guild Boons - 16,000 raw stats

    Rank 12 / Transcendant enchants

    Legendary mount stats at 2000/4000... Hold on, not cool enough? Were gonna add another 3000 in raw stats another 1500 in secondary stats, and 5 super game changing bonuses

    Mod 10? You ready to get bulked up with a 10th set of boons a new player doesn't have in PvP?

    You see... How do you balance against that :wink:

    You're right, you absolutely can't. In pvp the only way would be to make it a kind of Neutral Zone where no buffs or boons apply and all enchantments are treated as rank 7.

    that is how it should be. and all powers should be basic level 15 powers.

    Anything based on a random drop should not be a main part of a build, it should compliment the build if gained.

    lag may have subsided a bit, but damn that rendering delay is horrendous now.

    IL is nothing more than a way to get players to spend more, current IL is far too high for difficulty of content.

    Me personally I liked getting a group together then spending a few hours running 5 dungeons (dying/wiping/laughing/damn funny moments) 1 person got all loot from one dungeon and thus we all got a good share at the end.

    I also understand with all the dailys and extra campaign that fast runs are needed for those that are still doing them, there should however be a final dungeon only runable by those that have got all campaign boons (- last 2 in tiamat) that takes a high IL group about an hour to complete. giving players the choice of running something hard or challenging.
