travelling merchant not appearing

The Travelling Merchant that I am supposed to escort to safety is not appearing in the guild. The marker shows on the map though. Is this perhaps not enabled yet until the Summer Event starts?

    I am referring to the quest called Protection Orders that I received from a scroll in the first Protector Bounty I opened after receiving them from the Reward Claims Agent.

    same, maybe the event needs to start at 16th first.

    Pure -> Transcendent Plague Fire weapon enchantment giving 80damge/20 seconds for 500k+ AD is a joke.

    I believe they jumped the gun on giving away that pack, so yes, I believe the quest should be working on the 16th. If not, file a bug report please.

    This wont be like the winter festival, where people suddenly got banned for being too festive? Id hate to think anyone collecting these boxes prematurely wont be getting in trouble for it. Likewise, I hope those that already collected the boxes wont be getting a second one when actuall drop date comes around.

    still got stacks of old gifts, after hearing about many players get banned, i was so afraid to open them.
    personally, i believed it was devs' faults for allowing to happen too far and then start banning.
    so, how do i know i am safe to open them?

    Because opening them was not the trigger. Claiming them was. There was an exploit. It was fixed. In searching for the people that abused the exploit, they used a faulty algorithm. It was caught and addressed fairly early, and the players that got innocently banned due to that got unbanned within 24 hours. It hasn't happened again, and while I can't say that it will never happen again, in the event that it does happen again, and you do get innocently caught up in something like that, you will be unbanned too, and perhaps compensated.
