Lostmauth Set still viable for Righteous DC?

Has anyone run tests to see if the lostmauth set is still viable for a righteous DC or if there is a better combination now?

I tried to do some initial testing but ran into road blocks because you couldnt exchange sets at the time. I tested replacing the wisdom belt only and had a decrease in dps. Ultimately I don't think there will be a big difference but I'm betting LoL will still out perform the imperial (it was better on paper since the beginning) and you will probably find a slight dps increase over LoL with a imperial neck, imperial waist, and a book of the dead. Regardless since I'm pve and get a lot from my companion the difference is negligible. Orcus will probably be the best set but I lack the funds/initiative to test it. For now I think I will sit pat and see what the game brings us.

Thanks i play on xbox and just want to get an idea of what direction i should be taking with my DC so i dont end up wasting RP. I would like to see some test runs of a DC with the Demogorgon set.

It's hard to do a test with demo set because of how it functions. On a dumby if your a high dps you will always be at full health and it will be close to 0 health. So all you will see a 20% dps gain. In real life it doesn't work that way. Typically you start most encounters at full health and mobs at full health therefore orcus would not benefit at all. In longer fights if you can stay full health and the targets health declines you'd be looking at a 10% dps increase. However that's not real life as your HP will be in flux so 5% is probably more realistic (although the biggest dps will probably be toward the end when you need it most). Also you'd have to modify that 5% to account for the stat difference other sets/combinations might have.

For example If real life orcus gives you a 5% dps increase and LoL set is 2% dps gain plus you get 1% from better stats you'd be looking at a 2% dps difference. This is why people aren't in a hurry to change their DCs on PC. The cost doesn't justify the dps difference.

There is a video in another thread of a DC soloing CN boss and he's using orcus if you want to see it.

Xbox Player here as well and I'm not even considering Orcus set. I'm actually going to swap out my LM set and just run Tiamat Sash with Tiamat Orb instead of the LM pieces but I'll keep the necklace. This will give me more flat damage, AP Gain, Combat Adv. Damage , and cool down speed. I don't have ACT to test this but it'll probably be better compared to Orcus (at least to me).

    The Fabricant on Orcus set:
"Which means that in an ideal world assuming perfect circumstances, its a 15% dps gain (assuming you at low HP at the start of combat and at high HP at the end), which should make it equal or better than the above right? Well, no. Why? Because there are a few things you have to take into consideration:
    1) You will NEVER get the 20% damage bonus, as you cannot damage an enemy at 0 HP.
    2) Outside of dungeons, you will 1 shot monsters at full life, meaning no dps boost at all.
    3) Inside of dungeons, you will 1 shot monsters from half life, meaning that the last point you can realistically count is 50% up vs your 100%
    4) CW (I play my Righteous DC in your face as well) is a melee caster, which means you will take damage, which means your HP will also jump around, which means the bonus will jump around."

Orcus set comes out to around 6-7% increase to your damage, and even that can be inconsistent especially when you're on buff groups and bosses melt and us Righteous are the buff kings.

well that's the key i think, if your a debuffer or a healer your personal dps doesn't matter. So 2% variance isn't a big deal when your doubling your whole parties dps via debuffs. If 2% of your dps is only .5% of party dps, 2M (not including RP) to get a .5% party damage increase is awfully expensive
