Can people chime in with their experience with the new paranoid delusion companion. Specifically I play an HR and I want to know if its at wills change with your stance or if its always one or another? Feedback would be terrific thank you!
I've been playing with one on the test server. The HR version seems to use Rapid Strike (Melee) no matter what. Mine did about 2000-4000 damage per swing. The delusion seems to also have some sort of aura that damages nearby targets also (Aura of courage I think it was). Seems to proc bonding stones fairly well, and being in melee means it will die often to proc more stone stacks.
The mimic portion mimics everything you are wearing when summoned (fashion or armor) and your weapon enchant. The Armor enchant visual seems to be replaced with the delusion aura. Leveling up the companion seems to have no impact on the visuals, although they are named on the character sheet.
Going to continue playing around with it on text.

Here is the list:
CW: Chilling Cloud. TR: Duelist's Flurry. (the companion version DOES apply bleed and DOES do the weird animation thing) GWF: Wicked Strike. GF: Have not tested yet. OP: Valorous Strike. DC: Lance of Faith. SW: Same as zhent lock, cannot remember the name of that at will off the top of my head. HR: Rapid Strike.
Thank you but this is so frustrating. It would have made more sense to make it a ranged at will for the HR. If you are in melee, it is in ranged adding dps. But if you are ranged and it keeps running into melee, well then its just as dumb as every other companion except warlock. Oh well guess I am not getting one now and ill stick with shadow demon.
eldritch blast (something you can't forgett after playing a lock neverwinter 2 - the whole class had basically only eldritch and modifications to its mechanic )
Please fix Zhentarim Warlock companion's skill "Arcane Warping" to the originally intended "Arcane Boost" zhentarim-warlock-companion
Comparing the Paranoid Delusion to the Shadow Demon....I think the PD procs bondings a little faster, but the Shadow Demon's damage advantage is significant.
In short testing on my HR (arguably BIS), PD did 223 hits and did 354k damage total, max hit of 2647. Shadow demon, 215 hits, for just shy of 9.4m damage, max hit of 475k (Ive heard people clear 1m in a swing on them...not sure how). NOTE - I'm not sure if I was grouped with the Shadow Demon or not so the numbers could be a bit off.
I'll do more testing with both and try and find an equal test (HE in SH might be a good test..or dummies).
There is a definite cool factor with it....the only companion that can change outfits as far as I know. But, I don't know that its going to be great for anything.

My op tank and op heal both got the paranoid to use shielding strike (on preview)
Its BoE, so its only a single character unlock. The upside is if you really want the companion you can just buy one from the AH rather then buying the whole package.

Pure -> Transcendent Plague Fire weapon enchantment giving 80damge/20 seconds for 500k+ AD is a joke.
