Guardian Fighter Need DMG toned DOWN!

Hi guys,

Most of us have seen how destructive Guardian Fighters are in PvP and PvE. My request to the Devs and community comes from a PvP Perspective. The Guardian Fighter needs some rework on Skills like ITF and BullCharge.

Prones need to be taken away from All - Classes, that is the first aspect of the rework.

Bull charge is the one skill which can be buffed via ITF to values which are INSANE in PvP. Why should we care, right? That is the most obvious Question!

Well here is the problem: most of the High-End PvP players have spent some good junk of resources to get Rosegold Rings for the extra tenacity, here is the catch. Prones bypass all Tenacity and DR and allow for 100% dmg to hit through a prone.

Cresendo for Sword master does the same.

Either the devs rework the encounters to stuns or just Pushes like CW. Or have the total base dmg of GFs toned down. This is up to them. But one of these changes must be Heard.

ITF buffs are insane they buff dmg alot. More over, guardian fighters currently are able to apply double mark which is a BUG. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Now a serious question? Why should a Tank be able to deal immense dmg?

Why can the guardian fighter class not be more of either 2 aspects >> Either a Tank who can reflect but only Protect Himself or a guardian fighter who can protect his team. A TANK IS A TANK, not a DMG dealer.

Current Rotation of GF >> ITF + Bullcharge + Anvil of doom. Bull charge instantly drops the opponent to 50% or below. Anvil does the rest.

Honestly speaking atm GF seems more like a skill-less class. They have the run speed, the immunity, the tankiness, the dmg. Where is the justice?

    Get lost with your nerfing request. Surely this is trolling

    PVP is a only a small portion of the playing community and PVE shouldn't be destroyed to keep you whiny PvPers from moaning

    Last time I checked tanks needed to grind the insane amount of dailies too - how do you do that without doing any damage

    Last time I checked tanks needed to do some damage to hold aggro, its already hard enough to hold aggro with GWFs and the damage output they do

    Have you ever tried to lvl up a GF and get all the boons? I doubt it

    please go QQ somewhere else, I doubt you'll get much sympathy here in the GF forums

    I guess the OP doesn't realize that bull charge and anvil can be blocked, dodged and deflected. Also can be completely absorbed by different class shields.

    Our abilities do take skill to land and use properly, our ability are not simple "I win buttons".

    First thing they should fix is the animation for crescendo. I will admit it is the biggest killer of them all, I can cast Knight's challenge then bull charge while it is still in animation. And if i were a conqueror then I would have my victim in prone the entire time.

    If they fix this problem then the only way to die from GF is to fail in dodging. Which is how big burst dps tanks work in other MMORPG's too.

    If GFis still too strong in pvp after the fix, then that's when they need to look at ITF, but I would suggest a feat tree rework which would easily reduce conqueror's encounter damage by 20%.

    Double mark doesn't work anymore, they fixed that bug a few months ago.

    Regarding the deflect and dodge effect, it doesnt matter. You cannot deflect all the time when you are proned. Specially HRs are in the Void at the moment. The double mark was seen last working today done by Tornado of Souls GF. The dodge mechanics for HR is also never FIXED. The dodge needs to be done 2 to 3 times just to get out of any form of CC or Prone.

    Reducing Encounter dmg by 20%, doesnt make much of a difference. In PvP most GFs used to hit with Bullcharge upto 150K, some have gone upto 300K with debuffs. The point is, toning down 150K by 20% still ends up at 120K. HP levels are not significant against that DMG.

    HR spec can dodge because of fox cunning buff. But nothing can be done after.

    Regarding the Getting lost request by the 2nd post. Bro no one cares alot about PvE. We PvP players can rock in PvE without even trying hard for it.
    What you are saying that GF doing 1mil Dmg per encounter seems justice? Just because you play the class and like it doesnt give you the right to prevent it from Being FIXED or Changed. For ages have people been crying about Control from HRs, now the HAMSTER interaction of roots with Elven users actually makes thorned roots DEAL very low dmg.

    Elven = Negation (DR) + CC against Thorned roots.

    I have tested all this since mod 6 and sadly the devs not caring about game changing mechanics seems to have destroyed the game.

    90% of players in my friendslist and YES I DO HAVE a tons of players on my friends list, have switched to playing GF just because of they can nearly 1 shot if not then 1 rotate any class.

    90%? i'd like to see that if you're not exaggerating (i.e. post the image here). It think the 150k damage you seek is AoD which requires target to be below 40% damage. On bull charge as long as target is not prone and is wearing pvp gears, even with full tenacity and 30k power you can only get about 60k damage (trust me with this, I play GF after all) against similar ilvl. if you reduce it by 20% that will only deal 48k that should prevent AoD from dealing a finishing blow without much help.

    As much as it would be fine to have an all tank class in pvp, given the nature of PVP in NW it is quite useless unfortunately. It was pretty ok before they changed how power points change hands. Now if you are just tank you are just there, no one will care, you just stare at everything. If our most popular PVP was 20 vs 20 instead then maybe it's ok to have a tank.

    Like I siad fix the animation bug first. Anyway look at power ranking, TR is still occupies majority of the top 5 pages. Also the number 1 PVP players is GWF. And best 1 on 1 PVP players is HR.

    BTW you should have taken this thread elsewhere, this is not where you talk about nerfs in pvp.

    So this is what you do? You go around the forums of every class that kills you in PvP and demand they get nerfed?
