Smite AoE

I have been paying particular attention the AoE Smite is supposed to do, and I don't see it any more. Did anyone else notice? If you have a couple mobs together well within 15' of each other, the damage/effect only affects the mob I am hitting. I see no other mobs being affected or taking any type of damage. I thought there was some kind of stun at least.

    It places a small dot on surrounding targets but no major damage

    If i recall, it used to stun surrounding ads to.

    No that's burning light, I tested smite the other day it's still putting a dot on surrounding targets but it takes a second or two before it ticks.
