How many Deathlock Wights are there in Dwarven Valley?

A repeatable quest of Icewind Dale campaign called "Stay Buried" requires you to go to Dwarven Valley and slay 5 Deathlock Wights.

But in Dwarven Valley, I can only find 3 Deathlock Wights. Each of them is in front of a sarcophagus. Are there any other place where Deathlock Wights exist?

The enchanted weapon spots also have one.

Some of the HE's spawn one or more of them, though you need to be relatively powerful to solo those.

Since -if I remember correctly- you also have to interact with the sarcophagus they guard, it's easier to look for those sarcophagus in that area. They aren't that far apart. The wights will spawn there. Killing them in different instances also counts towards the quest.

Interacting with the sarcophaguses is the object of another quest called "The Honored Dead".

Maybe I missed something, but I haven't done any quest which mentioned enchanted weapon spots. How do those spots look like?

Enchanted weapons spots are for an AB task as I recall and are just piles of weapons on the ground. I can think of at least 4 locations for these, plus 3 for the sarcophagi.

For the OP, just explore or change to a low population instance and all should become apparent.
    Definitely not an Arc User.

Thanks. I should be able to find them, though I signed the contract with Ten Towns.

Doesn't matter, the mobs will still be there, unless someone has recently killed them. They're basically in the south-east part of the map. The sarcophagi you know of are in the southwestern portion. If you don't see the deathlock wight itself (in the SE), what you're looking for is a bit of a small pit in the ground, pretty much exactly what it would look like if someone had just been digging for something, usually with a stick (weapon, actually) stuck in said pit at an angle. Those are the spots the wights and a few other mobs will spawn at.

Thank you. I just checked the southeastern part of the map and found some.

Some of those HE Deathlock Wights don't count for this task (and some do), even though they have the correct name as the others.

I ditch the quest every time I get it. There are more fun things to do and the 1 piece of gold isn't worth the time it takes. The @hedgebet you are 100% correct Deathlock's in heroics don't count.

Good to know, thanks. This quest was always a royal pain back in the day and I was aware that there were other spots where Deathlock Wights could be found, but I wasn't sure exactly where. Now that I am running alts through the campaign I'll keep a lookout for those weapon piles.

I agree with ditching the quest, but I am not certain about the Deathlock's in the HE not counting. I did this quest within the last month (before I began ditching it) and the HE filled my requirements. I think that there are so many types of wights, especially in an HE, though, that when you kill a wight, it might be the wrong type.

Regardless of whether the HE does count, it still isn't as efficient as finding the three cairns and two or three gravesites. Those Deathlock HEs are hard to solo with all the 'Ice Bombs' going off after you kill something--it tends to waste more time to do the HE. and the HE reward is definitely RNG with all its glorious annoyance. I wish the HEs were more like the Hammerstone Queen quest--you see what the reward it before you do it so you know if you are wasting your time.

If I do the quest anymore, I tend to do it with the Stay Buried quest (i think) where you consecrate the cairns and you have to kill one Deathlock Wight at each cairn. Then you only need to find two or three of those enchanted weapon gravesites. Kill one wight, fill two quests.

I would still rather do Ten Towns quests. They seem to require less running around the map.

There is 1 more in the extreme back of the map as i remember, but even if you dont find, just kill the 3 and go back to the first, the refresh is quick.

Yeah, the refresh is not too long, though sometimes there are other players for us to compete with.
