Portobello's / Respen's is fantastic

This event is probably the cleverest and most fun thing in Neverwinter. While I've heard some of the game less intelligent, more reflexively homophobic players criticize it, I'm enjoying everything from the Waldorf/Statler joke to the design. This is a good improvement on the Respen's concept, which was already the best thing about NWO. I have no sympathy for players who just want a hack and slash environment that takes itself seriously. There's better storytelling and imagination in this than in the rest of NWO since mod 6 put together.

Some of you may know how rarely I offer praise to the devs (and fix the frakking debuff on the dread enchant please - don't give another months-long disaster like you did with elven battle).

Very well done. It's funny, it adds variety to the campaigns, and to me, who never did a DnD tabletop, it adds some flair of where this all is from.

Depends on the view. 3 of my 7 toons cannot enter the queue for The Frozen Heart because they are under level 44, and 6 of my 7 toons cannot enter the queue for Malabog's Castle because they are not level 70. Well, thanks anyway for taking care of the top levels only.

1)It has been a year and they havent fixed old Respen's dungeon bugs
2)Portobello's map is fine and all but it also has its share of bugs which some of them came in the light the minute we entered the map.(Bleacher bug)
3)I dont think listening burping sounds, stupid comments from NPCs and watching same cutscene everytime I enter in skirmish is not my definition of fun
4)Misleading and missing information about event is again astounding.People are waiting for that legendary mount ever since Maze engine came up but all we can learn is that they have a surprise soon.In the mean time Zen prices are bouncing like rubber ball.Up-down-up-down.
5)Event scenraio missions refresh not daily reset time but after 20 hrs
6)They even timegated event scenario. They also sold us companion which is only created for this event. But you can only farm 100 accrediation weekly so you have to do it for 4 weeks to end it.

Event is big step-up from previous ones but it is still lacking on so many aspects.

As an old, hardcore PnPer (lots of entire weekends spent praying for crit rolls) I can appreciate the homage. I had not noticed any more complaints from the unwashed (ah, see previous lost weekend comment, guilty as charged, but I got over it.) than usual, but then I've become fairly good at mentally filtering out that sort of nonsense.

Just wondering if Watler actually drops occasionally, or if the % off coupon is it? If so, yeah, I know this is a commercial endeavor, but so is Las Vegas, and the casinos are raking it in by tossing the suckers a big chip now and then.

Well, I have tried ever since Respen came out to queue for it, but it has never allowed me in. I enjoyed it thoroughly last year, but since they bugged out their queuing system, I cannot join any queue for anything: events, skirmishes, dungeons, etc. Only way I can get in is to pre-form a party and then join. I am sorely disappointed! Sent help message and everything, but we all know how that will turn out....

its meh "ok" it is however boring to run 25 times in a row.. because of the cutscence.. in addition there seems to be a small % of players queuing for it that will throw ever insult your way if you know you just want to spam run it as fast as possible (like they queue up to do this..) It doesnt appear to give anything worthwhile.. (r3s is the main reward most runs)

Its really bad when you see these people btw.. terribly bad.

They even lie and bring things up like.. your going to bug the instance if you run ahead.. (yea right)

I dont care if they take there time if they get a group together.. spend a hour in it.. but respect others time please.. We just want to run it as fast as possible.. by the time you do all 25 .. you see it all anyways.

Well, I won a pewter golem on my first run. You may feel more comfortable complaining about people who actually want to experience the content in a thread not started by someone who enjoys it.

Not gonna bother with it just like I never bother with any of those limited time events. They're a waste of development time and resources that should be used for introducing new structural and permanent content into the game instead.
If only all the time spent on those events went to the foundry instead, sigh...

Hey! Super glad you're having fun with the event, but let's start threads where we deliver feedback about cool stuff (or not cool stuff) without resorting to insulting other players. Having different strokes for different folks is what makes MMOs work.
