Login server timeout when switching characters

I have to log in 20 times per day when switching characters - "timeout" seems like kind of a bad word to use, unless the timeout is 500ms or something, because the message pops up right away. Happens also when selecting a character to log in to.

This happens to me maybe 25% to 50% of the time. And when it does, it tends to happen a few times in a row. It makes switching characters for invoke and task resets really annoying when it does happen.

Happened to me to. So I went out and bought some beer and that fixed the issue.
    Definitely not an Arc User.

And another similar annoyance is the AH, "Unable to post your item for sale. The item has been put back into your inventory". Tends to happen several times in a row. Cryptic needs some new servers.

It isn't my internet connection - I have both comcast and centurylink subscriptions and it happens on both. Also, if it were a real timeout the message wouldn't pop up immediately. On the same computer WoW does this approximately 0% of the time...

I've been having it for the past 48 hours. I thought it was my internet connection.

I have always got a timeout message sometimes when logging in on a particular internet connection, requiring me to retry several times. This is to do with the type of connection i use when i am not at home (a mobile connection, it goes to sleep and does not wake up fast enough). After several retries i can usually logon.

However, on my home connection, whilst i have not had any problems logging in, the last 2 days whilst attempting to move to the guild SH or when joining a POM group i see "server not responding" for 10 seconds and then timed out. The yellow loading bar is still moving when this happens. I can log back in (without any problems) and when selecting the character i get the pop up advising me there was a problem. Selecting "safe login" (returned to PE) will get me back in. If I use "normal login" (attempt to go to previously selected instance) I am am once again timed out after 10 secs.

Yet I have joined some dungeons (ewolf, etos and kr) without any problems. I have even got "server not responding" on changing to other areas, but have not timed out even after 20-30 seconds.

This is something new. It means I am unable to join some dungeons and am unable to join in on guild events.

    Seeing something similar

When I try to log in I get the following which seems to be what some other people are seeing.
    Log in startup screen
    Cryptic Loading screen
    Neverwinter trademark screen
then ablank Neverwinter log in screen background with a timeout error message.
Then the login overlay shows up
trying to relog via that screen pretty much instantaneously gives connecting to the login server then right away a time out message.
No problems with other MMOs (non-Arc) or other online activity.
Started the afternoon of the 26th. (-6 GMT) Was able to log in early on the 27th (0200) and now at 2000 on the 27th same issue.
    In Northern Colorado, USA
